Summary

From the New York Times and Sunday Times best-selling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new steamy STEMinist novella....

It will take the frosty terrain of the Arctic to show these rival scientists that their chemistry burns hot.

Mara, Sadie and Hannah are friends first, scientists always. Though their fields of study might take them to different corners of the world, they can all agree on this universal truth: when it comes to love and science, opposites attract and rivals make you burn....

Hannah's got a bad feeling about this. Not only has the NASA aerospace engineer found herself injured and stranded at a remote Arctic research station—but the one person willing to undertake the hazardous rescue mission is her longtime rival.

Ian has been many things to Hannah: the villain who tried to veto her expedition and ruin her career, the man who stars in her most deliciously lurid dreams...but he's never played the hero. So why is he risking everything to be here? And why does his presence seem just as dangerous to her heart as the coming snowstorm?

To listen to Mara and Sadie's stories, look for the novellas Under One Roof and Stuck with You.

Underwhelming

I didn't like this as much as her other novellas, simply because it became too scientific. It was more like an educational seminar with no humor, rather than a rom-com.

Having said this I do like her writing style, she draws delicious heroes and she will remain one of my one-click Authors.

Enjoyable

I liked two previous novellas better. This one isn't bad though. Meet cute is very hot 🔥 but the conflict wasn't very conflicty.
There were no funny banters like in Under One Roof, or a convincing impression that the guy did something sketchy, like in Stuck with You.
The whole plot jumped so much around, without I think the desired effect.

short and sweet

firstly, I have to give credit to the author, the amount of research that must have gone into writing this book is truly commendable. don't let the fact that it's a shorter story put you off, it's a really enjoyable book for when you have a few hours to yourself. As expected, the talented Savannah Peachwood does an excellent job with her performance. Honestly the books a little gem.

not her best

The story was cute and has some drama. the fmc greatly annoyed me with her dubious temperament and questionable decisions. Also, we never really got some of the answers at all.
Hopefully, for this short story, the major catastrophe is the answer to everything.
Loved all the actual science too.
The narration was really good.

Nicely techy

Would love to see these characters fleshed out in a longer book as opposed to a novela. Seems like such a waste. Really enjoyed the world building too.

Nothing new here

Should have been developed into a full book to develop the character and storyline. I felt it was the same story as per the other two books and nothing new here other than learning a few things about Mars. As a big fan of the other two books, I am disappointed.
