A decent prequel which is needed to make better sense of the rest although why not just start at the beginning, it should be book one ? The books aren't really best approached as standalone because all the characters are intertwined throughout the series.I find changing the character voices between books to be off putting and a little confusing, which happens alot with books in a series .

decent prequel.....

The story starts well and the two main characters get together very early on. Then... that's more or less about it. 50% of the book could have been left out. The style of setting is as good as ever, but the whole book is let down by a story lacking interest. I feel slightly cheated. Readers/listeners hoping for a romance like No Strings Attached may want to look somewhere else because this is more of a life angst story, something out of a TV soap than a romance novel.

Average prequel to No Strings Attached
