About this listen

Pippa Vosper tragically lost her son Axel in 2017, when she was five months pregnant, and has since written about baby loss online and in a series of pieces for Vogue. Beyond Grief: Navigating the Journey of Pregnancy and Baby Loss is the book she wishes had been available when her son died. It covers every aspect of pregnancy and baby loss at any stage, from the practical to the emotional, with advice from experts and stories from women who have experienced losses of their own. Beyond Grief offers both an inclusive perspective and a guiding hand to anyone who has experienced any kind of baby loss, as well as those who are trying to support them through it.

So grateful that Pippa has turned what has for so long been a taboo subject, into something we speak of more openly. A beautiful honest and very open book that feels like a hand to hold through some very dark times for many.

Powerful and much needed

I recently felt really triggered after losing my baby in May this year. I randomly decided to search audible for books on baby loss. I also lost my baby at 5 months and this book has been amazing. I don’t really have words I would just advise anyone who has gone through this or cares for someone who has, to read this book. I will buy the hard copy just because I want the words on a page as well as this.
I send love and light to anyone who is or has experience the loss of a child. I wish you peace and healing ❤️

I felt so understood and cared for with this book. Hearing Pippa’s own story as well as other mothers, like myself, whose babies have died in the dozens of ways it can happen, made me feel less alone. It was heartbreaking but somehow uplifting to know - it’s not just you. Stories mixed with advice, beautifully balanced. Thank you.

Beautifully researched and written

I found community in this book. My pain ang grief were validated. It has been a good companion through this difficult time.

Relatable

Narration is far too fast and sounds almost insensitive when asking questions to the other voices in the book. Other readers are of a better speed but voices were dramatic and that had a condescending impact on those who have lost babies.

I’d recommend the book but not the audiobook

Powerful words but poor narration
