Summary
History always repeats – or does it? Could you change your past?
Relive the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s in this witty and gripping time travel series. Evoke the memories and discover the mystery. The impossible dilemma of two identical men from different eras, a mysterious time-shifting event, and a future that holds the consequences of his past mistakes.
Courtesy of a random time-shifting event in 1976, Jason Apsley time travelled from 2019 to 1976 and unwittingly displaced ‘other’ Jason, who has no choice but to continue his life forty years in the future.
When our reluctant time traveller encounters the family of the man who replaced him, he realises the future is not quite as he imagined. And neither, as it transpires, is time travel.
As ‘other’ Jason attempts to navigate the future, he discovers the world has somewhat changed since the mid-1970s. Notwithstanding the inevitable ensuing chaos, history unfolds to reveal the consequences of his past mistakes.
What if the two men meet in the future? Can the movement of time offer the opportunity to correct his past? Or will those decisions of sixty years ago haunt his future?
If you like time travel, entwined with mystery and humour, you’ll love the fast-paced time travel series by Adrian Cousins. Download today and continue the adventure.

Confusing choice for a release
Big fan of the first three books, still awaiting book four, but what I can assume is technically book 5 in the series, renders book 4 moot now? There's no real sense of danger for most of the main characters as you know they survive (or not) in this book.
Also no explanation given for how old man Apsley would know to look out for the man he replaced in the 70s. Explanation given that two Apsleys cant exist in the same time, but he travels to 2016, before original Apsley moved back in time in 2019, and then back in time again when they would co-exist again. I don't mind extending my imagination to things that are bs, such as a time travelling car, why? Because it just is, OK that's fine. Fully on board with not explaining the physics of things, because unless the main character is a scientist of some sort, how would he know?
But when you are told the two men can't co-exist at the same time, but then the story contradicts that; that's when it just becomes confusing. I'm still wondering why baby Jason wasn't born in the 70s back in book one!
It's a good listen regardless despite some of it not making sense.

Fits perfectly after Jason Apsley Book 3
A worthy addition to the Jason Apsley saga and had me hooked from the first chapter. The narration is first class too.

Time for one more
As with all books in the series, this one is just as gripping. It's not as long as the others but for good reason. Without wishing to spoil your enjoyment it will come apparent why once you start listening, so don't let its length put you off. Can't wait to hear the next installment and find out 3hat new adventures lay before Jason Apsley 2.0.
