About this listen

Being a necromancer is kinda cool until you wake up half dead in a dumpster.

Cisco Suarez is into something bad. Wanted by police, drenched in the stink of dark magic, and nether creatures coming out of the woodwork. Is resurrection overrated or what?

This box set contains the first three Black Magic Outlaw novels (Dead Man, Shadow Play, and Heart Strings) all at one special omnibus price.

The author has written a reasonably good story, which is engaging, but it is let down by the narrator. Narration has little in the way of light and dark, with everything read in the same urgent, breathless tones. Even the sign off at the end of the book is read as if there is something momentous and dangerous about to happen.
Whilst I have read this compendium I doubt I will read subsequent books if the same narrator is used.

Good story but poorly performed.
