Not bad & not good
First off the narrator was utterly boring, more like a drone, no emphasis, strange voice-overs for other characters, I enjoyed the story line until I realised most chapters are filled with book one, family history, each book fills up even more family history as the stories go. If you read book 3 you would not miss anything from book one! There is no continuity with these books.
Each book has a different story with some new characters joining in but they need more than one narrator for this many books.
I would have enjoyed them more if the thoughts & suggestions wasn't repeated in every book, you can say the same thing in many different ways!
The very worst thing was the narrator - no offence Holly but please put some emphasis & feelings into it, this is what has spoilt listening to these books.
I've yet to make up my mind as to whether I want to continue with this series or not, although I'm NOT a quitter!
As one other listener said some facts are off kilter, the girls not being properly prepared or not having tuned their skills or using them improperly, I did notice these anomalies as well but was trying my utmost to get to the end without falling asleep, which happened on several occasions!

Good story
I enjoyed the story, but by the end of book 2 the narrators habit of drawing out words was getting a little annoying. By the end of book 5 I was finding it irritating in the extreme so much so I found myself concentrating on the drawn out words instead of the actual story. I would think about using someone else for your next project Leighann.

Disappointment
The story started kind of ok. But by the 3rd book the storyline became so messed up and confusing. There was nothing magical or mystical in the first 3 books, just some romance and murder mystery. Then suddenly the main characters develope weird abilities, which are poorly explained. I don't know how to feel about this story, mainly confused, pissed off by Overton ( i guess the only consistent character which disappeared at some point, and popped up out of nowhere), and more confused. i can't imagine going through all 9 books that are available at the moment. The story arcs are poorly constructed, do not link with each other, the characters are not fully developed, the mysteries are not logical and author just cuts the story in middle and adds epilogue where she explains everything just to make sense, but that is so lame. The language becomes repetitive. I would not recommend this book for any genre it tries to fit in: romance-0, mystery-0, fantasy-0.

Juvenile
I don’t expect much from cozy mysteries. Light listening. Easy listening.
This series was banal. I checked to see if it was for children, which is where it should be.
The “witch” theme was not used much until book 3, and then only slightly. The writing was so simplistic it made me cringe.
The narrator was fair, even the best of narration couldn’t add much to the drivel.
