Summary
When a series of bombs go off in a Therian youth center, injuring members of THIRDS Team Destructive Delta and causing a rift between agents Dexter J. Daley and Sloane Brodie, peace seems unattainable. Especially when a new and frightening group, the Order of Adrasteia, appears to always be a step ahead. With panic and intolerance spreading and streets becoming littered with the Order's propaganda, hostility between Humans and Therians grows daily. Dex and Sloane, along with the rest of the team, are determined to take down the Order and restore peace, not to mention settle a personal score. But the deeper the team investigates the bombings, the more they believe there's a more sinister motive than a desire to shed blood and spread chaos.

Ripping Yarn
Second instalment of this boy's own adventure. Another great narration; more action and close encounters with enemies and friends alike. The MCs hop-scotch around each other in an effort to find the place most comfortable to land, finding each other's comfort zone but no HEA. GOOD

Soooo good!
AUDIO REVIEW
I'm continuing re reading this series via audio! This is book 2 in the series and definitely not a standalone.
Mark Westfield continues to be an awesome narrator and as new characters are added in to this epic world he somehow manages to go with it and adapt his voice yet again. It's so immersive in audio and I just love that when they're talking to each other through their head sets his voice reflects this.
Book 2 is a continuation of book 1 and the search for psychopath Isaac Pearce. He's a slippery b*stard though and sends the THIRDS agents on wild goose chase after wild goose chase and the thing I love about this book is I could never predict what was going to happen next.
Dex and Sloanes tentative relationship is tested in this book and Sloan struggles to acknowledge just how much Dex means to him. I thought Dex was very understanding about the whole situation - much more than I think I would have been! Sloan is also dealing with some demons from his past and we get a heartbreaking insight in to his terrible childhood.
Secondary characters are awesome and as with book 1 this is not just a story about Dex and Sloan but the whole team. I loved listening to new pairings emwrge too in this book.
Another brilliant audiobook - on to book 3!

Love and action
Story: I absolutely love how the relationship between Dex and Sloane develops! Among all the drama, action, fire and destruction, the feelings between those two are absolutely riveting! It doesn't get boring for even a second!
Narration: Mark Westfield does a great job with the cornucopia of characters in this series! Great performance!

I first read this series a few years ago, and now I'm starting again, but in audio.
When you first meet Dex and Sloane, you will never forget them. I have laughed so hard at Dex's antics and have come to think of the whole team and everything to do with Thirds as real life. You end up so immersed in their world that you believe it to be real.
Charlie Cochet can write, and this series is among her best work; her world-building skills go above and beyond.
Mark Westfield narrates these books. It took me a while to gel with his voice, but after three books, I was convinced.
