Summary

In a world where vampires have conquered mankind, Turner West is the only thing they fear.

Threaded with silver through his body, he is a Bonemaker - a rare human who can Unmake vampires with a single cut of his blade. Crossing the prairie of what was once the United States, Turner will face a blood-crazed cult, a governor who wants power more than life itself, and a trio of beautiful women who will help him toward his ultimate goal: ridding the world of bloodsuckers.

There's just one problem. Turner's exploits have attracted a vampire so old, his very existence threatens what remains of the human race. Extinction is upon us.

I listened to the end.

The narrative was slow but not to bad. It is listenable. Each character was imaginable and the story was good! I will listen to book 2.

Peculiar choices for a protagonist.

It's alright! Nice for a quick listen and high octane action!
But the protagonist is a little, dense. And his inability to make what would seem, quality of life decisions, makes this book a difficult listen.

Pretty Good.

The story is a good listen and it is well performed. My only complaint is that it felt it should’ve been a little longer.

It's OK, used it pass time while driving.

The idea isn't bad but the execution could be better. The writing is pretty lazy and I don't think the characters mean much to the author at all. There a whole convosation half way through where names of the characters get mixed up, don't really know how that made it to an audio book with out the author or proof reader or narrator noticing....

Main character is abit of an idiot really, which I do think he's supposed to be. He's likable in bits and then very unlikeable for alot of it. Feels kinda like this was written for sexually frustrated teenages with no imagination. Kind of a nerdy teenage lads dream written down, physically enhanced vampire hunter wrecking vamps and getting all the girls with no effort at all. Maybe because it's a post apocalyptic vampire invested world the girls just can't keep the underwear up, Never know when it will be your last kinda thing. As the main character has about as much charisma as a steaming pile of cat sick, it's just a little hard to believe.

But in all seriousness it kept me entertained for 6 hours and I'm half way through the second book. Probably because I've run out of money and just listening to anything on the plus catalogue.

The narrator is good, he reads it well and manages to give the supporting characters some depth.

Give it a go, it's just 6 hours

So many complaints!

Sooo.... If you get nothing else out of this review of mine, please know that there's plenty of NTR in it.
Other than that, the MC is an unlikeable brooding idiot that would have done much better if he was to never speak. But i can't really blame the poor fellow much since he's wit can only be as sharp as author's pen. Also dialogues, my god the dialogues, no narrator in the world can make them sound good, I don't think the narrator deserved 5 star, but i gave it to him anyway out of sympathy for the material he had to work with.
--spoiler-- but very very minor
The first scene of the first book ... i don't get it, he buys the girl out of the brothel and then what ?? Sends her back to the drunk, abusive rapist uncle that sold her to the brothel in the first place ?? WTF, that's like, malicious level of stupid.
In summation: The only good thing i have to say about the book is that it's not that long.
