Lieutenant Joe Gunther is in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom investigating a minor embezzling case. Just as good as book 1, just as beautifully read. A small town erupts into violence and the tension mounts. Fascinating characters.

I’ve only recently become an audio book fan and have to say that I’m pretty choosy about narrators, so Tom Taylorson has allowed me to get to know the character of Joe Gunther.

What I love about Archer Mayor is that he allows you to get to know the characters, as well as taking you on the journey through the investigation and it’s twists and turns. Would definitely recommend to my super sleuth friends.

This is my second Archer Mayor book and I will continue through the numbers. I find them very relaxing with the detail of surrounding adding to the story. The case had an interesting finale
