A great listen

This was a cute coming of age, friends to lovers story. The tension and buildup was great, and I loved the interactions. There is always that one character you want to slap and that is no different here, luckily, her tricks were easy to spot. I liked how there wasn’t a lot of conflict because the characters knew each other well and worked things out fast.

Desiree Ketchum and James Cavanagh were brilliant. Although, I did feel James sounded a little old to be voicing such a young character but overall, it was a lovely, quick listen.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!

This is an awesome young/new adult, coming of age, friends to lovers romance. It is a sweet story that will have you smiling from ear to ear. Leslie McAdam is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, the characters and storylines she created are interesting, realistic and easy to relate to. I adored both lead characters, Audrey and Tate Lemieux, they are best friends in their last year of H.S and are making plans for their future, they will even go to NYC to attend college, she in the Fashion Institute, he at Columbia. They are also making travel plans which include trains his favorite type of transportation. Both want to take their relationship to the next level, there are some awkward scenes at first some one step forward and another step back moves until they get it right. But life throws Audrey and her family a curve balls and going off to college may not be an option. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with the perfect balance of drama, a touch of angst/tension, some great dialogue and humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and a sweet, slow burnish, romance. Leslie McAdam, thank you for this sweet and delightful story, I loved every minute of it, loved the titles of your chapters too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Desiree Ketchum and James Cavanaugh are talented narrators and voice artists. They did a great job bringing the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of each character was spot on and sounded just like I pictured them to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Sweet YA Romance

This was my first Leslie McAdam's book. This short New Adult story, and Best Friends romance is cute, sweet, and emotional. Tate and Audrey are interesting characters. Some scenes are hilarious. I like the family bonds in this story. Their journey has drama, and romance. Desiree Ketchum and James Cavanaugh did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it.
