I can't believe I'm saying this... but....

.... It would have been good to have had a little more to this book. (My review of the first was that there was a little too much filler) I would have liked to have heard a little bit more about Cade and life with his mum, oh and the moment the epilogue described with their parents. But that being said, I really enjoyed this story. It tied everything up beautifully.

This narrator was perfect and certainly made a big difference to my overall experience!

A great finish to the previous book

Thank you to Suzana Thompson for proving me with a free audiobook in return for an honest review.

Breathless follows on shortly after Thompson’s book, Heartless. Cade and Lexi have have some time away following an inconvenient incident causing them to break up. Now Lexi needs to make her mind up about him when she finds herself studying at the same college.

The previous book ended on such a cliffhanger that I was really looking forward to finding out what was in store for these two characters. Thompson moved the story along very well with the same characters remaining and others who were no longer in the story but are still mentioned and remembered. It was nice to read Cade and Lexi’s relationship progress from high school sweethearts to more mature lovers.

I would have liked to hear a little more about Cade’s backstories that weren’t really explained in the previous book, such as his relationship with his old school friends. The story was short and to the point though.

I’ve read a few Suzana Thompson books now and although I enjoyed this one I think it’s my least favourite I didn’t really feel like much happened. It just completed the story for the previous book and set the readers minds at rest. It was a lovely read though.
