I read this when it launched and absolutely loved Eli & Asher their story was so moving. My heart broke for Eli and what his parents had put him through the derogatory comments his mother spewed at him was disgraceful and the self doubt it caused in Eli and the feeling he wasn’t worth anything was heartbreaking. Iggy Toma was amazing as usual and I really enjoyed Darcy Stark and will be seeking more books narrated by him .

Story: Such an emotional one! There's pain and hurt oozing off the words in this one, so definitely not for the faint of heart.
I loved the creations of both MCs, all their banged up pieces and inner strength, The author did a great job crafting the story.
Narration: I'm usually not a huge fun of multiple narrators, but Darcy Stark and Iggy Toma managed to create a cohesive, very well acted out audiobook here, so kudos for that!

Andi Jaxon is a new (to me) author I'm so glad they came up on my recommendation list. I've read thousands of books over the years (yes I am that old!) and have felt the full gamut of emotions throughout them all, but this novel is the only one I've ever wept all the way throughout, heartrending in lots of places but such a very sweet, satisfying HEA, so not all the tears were sad ones! The characters were so well written I loved them from the start, the pain they suffer through is heartbreaking, but the author shows how each of them deal with it, work through it and also that hope and love can win through in the end.

Iggy Toma is one of my top favourite performers, and now I've heard Darcy Stark for the first time he is also a new favourite! An astoundingly good performance from both, the depth of emotions they convey are nothing short of perfection. I will be getting the author's other works, and will also be looking for anything else Darcy Stark narrates! (I already stalk Iggy here!💜)

The narrators did their best with cringe dialogue and storyline. Listening to it free on Audible. Hate not finishing books, but just gave up with about 3 chapters to go. No connection between the characters just a load of romance tropes thrown in without any substance.

This book was most definitely NOT my cup of tea!! For the last 2-3 years, I have listened to about one MM book a day - every day. I am NOT a picky reader when it comes to MM and it takes A LOT for me to despise a book. I despised this book with a passion.
It was absolutely ridiculous and just screamed privilege. The two main characters get into trouble and their punishment is a month stay at a LUXURY resort!! At first, I thought it was one of these resorts were you get therapy and help with whatever issue you have. It would make sense cause both characters have MAJOR issues!! But NO, this place is literally just an all-inclusive luxury resort with private pool, room service and all the amenities they want. These people are maga rich, but at NO POINT do they go to therapy or take medication. Eli is CLEARLY depressed but is allowed (even by his best friend) to do nothing about it for 6 years! 6 YEARS!! He does not have an education or a job. He spends his time in bed in a filthy apartment paid by his parents and cries into all his money. Not once thinking "oh, maybe I should get some professional help". He has the money and the time. You cannot tell me that all he has being doing for 6 years is sleeping, crying, drinking and parting without his best friend ever doing an intervention (especially after she called his parents to get the number for the cleaner, he had dismissed, when she found his apartment filthy - if she does that she would most definitely do an intervention!).
When the main characters get to the resort that was booked last minute for both (not knowing the other is there), they are put in the same house (of course🤢) Eli complains to the receptionist, who tells him they are sold out (surprise, surprise 🤮) and there must have been a glitch in their system (sure, that makes total sense at a luxury resort😒) because they booked at the same time (really!! That is some coincidence!). Eventhough Eli is clearly uncomfortable, the receptionist does nothing - and you CANNOT tell me that a luxury resort does not have a pull-away bed or something! She kinda just shrugs (which is totally believable at a luxury resort!) and Eli gives in without further fight. He decides to sleep in the bathtub bause the luxury house does not have a sofa apparently 🙄.
At this point, my eyes where hurting from me rolling them back in my head so many times.
I am not going to list anymore annoying or unrealistic moments in the book - cause then we can be here all week.
This book was a huge waste of time and the author has been removed from my TBR list of authors. I ended up having to DNF, which has only have twice before! But I just couldn't!

I would not waste my time.
