About this listen
What is the one thing a sinner can’t allow?
Temptation.
But Keira Sartin is all that and more. A walking, talking dream. She calls to every cell in Alexi’s messed-up, rule-breaking soul.
Except she’s forbidden. Addictive. A distraction he can’t afford.
Not when his family is depending on him and redemption is within reach. Not when his mission hinges on making no waves and fulfilling his duty. Not when she’s the sister of his bride-to-be.
What’s the one thing a troublemaker can’t afford?
More trouble.
But Alexi Skolov is all that and more.
He’s beauty incarnate. Flesh-and-blood sin. Wild nights and dark pleasure.
He’s also up to no good. Which means he’s not for her. She has her own objective to fulfill, and he’ll only get in the way. He’s also promised to her sister.
It should be easy for them both: just stay away.
But running from temptation is hard. Avoiding trouble even harder—and sometimes it catches up to you, leaving you...breathless, begging, broken.

Great fated mates romance
This is book three in the Ruthless Warlords series. Alex Skolov and Keira Sartin's story was twisted, dark, and simply entertaining. This alpha protectiveness gets to me, but I love how Kiera doesn't back up. I really enjoyed the story, the world-building was fantastic, and I love all characters, I will keep reading for other titles in the series as I want to know more.

Way more than the standard alpha and omega
I knew what I was getting into: SF, aliens, omegaverse, fated mates, mafia, violence, steam… What I wasn’t expecting was how interesting the characters would be. Way more than the standard alpha and omega.
Alexi is a monster. Due to a terrible past–and I mean terrible, even though it isn’t too explicit, it implies many triggers–he has the hardest time controlling his emotions. It’s not that he’s cold blooded, it’s that he feels too much! Then he becomes a dangerous beast. He’s developped several addiction to numb his feelings. Alexi definitely isn’t your typical hero.
His destined omega–though he doesn’t realize it at first–is the one nobody wants. Unable to conceive, without any omega power, and with kind of an attitude, Keira is her uncle’s favorite victim. But she’s smart and knows what she wants. A real rebel. Until she spends the night with Alexi. Not that she gives up her objectives, but it just complicates things.
Their relationship is fascinating. They’re both broken–Alexi from his troubled past, Keira from the constant bullying she’s a victim to, and they have flaws. But they balance each other out. Alexi shows Keira she’s worthy of love and respect, while she tames Alexi’s beast. I loved that.
There’s a lot going on in this book, and there’s never a dull moment for sure. Between the scorching hot intimate scenes between Keira and Alexi and the multiple instances of violence. Triggers involved, be prepared. Also, there are many plot twists.
Since the first book, there’s an ongoing mystery, with the disappearance of the youngest Skolov children years ago. It is at the center of the story and finds some kind of resolution by the end. The whole plot is about Alexi infiltrating the Sartins to find clues about his siblings, and the excuse is an alliance between the Skolovs and the Sartins through the union between Alexi and a Sartin omega. Namely Keira’s sister. And the monster inside Alexi keeps messing up with his plans.
There’s another aspect that I enjoyed a lot, incarnated by Keira’s uncle. He knows the rules, he practices diplomacy, but he’s also selfish and ambitious, and his wants don’t always align with what his position requires. The moments his objectives clash with what the Brotherhood wants from him, and he loses control–and the plot–are greatly entertaining, and always result in more conflicts and action, sometimes violence.
The narration was amazing. The male narrator brings life to a conflicted Alexi, and he’s able to express both the monster and the broken man, and the creature in between–the man trying to contain the beast. The female narrator does great with Keira’s multiple nuances. The brave rebel, the obedient omega, the passionate woman, they’re all here to hear.

Alexi & Keira!!!! Love this story!
I have been waiting for Alexi's story and it was so worth the wait. A damaged soul, he has been through more than any man should have to endure. But even so, he has kept a good heart, and he knows his limitations. Keira is his fated mate. There is no doubt. Equally as damaged, he is very concerned about her safety when his beast is lurking. Keira is incredibly strong and knows what a good man Alexi is. But these two are at odds outside their little area. Alison Aimes has packed this story with so much. The steam factor is high, the deception heartbreaking and surprising, and the twists and turns this action packed journey are shocking. Alexi and Keira find out there is more to this Alpha/Omega relationship than just their physical, matching intelligence and personalities. This is my kind of story, loved every minute!
Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke our the host for our storytelling and this pairing always is fantastic. Hunter plays the strong, feisty, stubborn Keira with the perfect emotional pull and attitude. Alexi is an onion, and Clarke peels away each layer, with feeling and bravery. An amazing listen and one that should not be missed.

Alexi and Keira fated mates!
Keira and Alexi
I am loving this series. Strong, sexy alpha men and strong, stunning and incredibly brave women.
Alexi is an impulsive man who has been tasked with find his lost siblings and has no room for anything or anyone to be a distraction yet after one smell of a woman, Keira and he is a goner. Only his beast rears his head when the feisty woman is in danger.
Keira is fearless, deceiving the Sartin family who have treated her poorly for so long, but she’s on a mission to save as many Omegas from the clutches of the evil men who forget she’s around because they so devalue women. She’s able to be a proverbial fly on a wall around the men who treat women so poorly so she can save them with a little help from other brave souls.
These two sizzle when they’re together. They linked in a very special way yet neither knew it was fate that brought them together. These two lost souls are akin to each other and I rooted for them right away.
I loved how fiercely protective Alexi is of his mate, Jason Clarke is the perfect Alexi, gruff when his beast comes out to defend yet so afraid of causing his loved ones harm. Especially his found mate, Keira!
Stella shows us Keira’s fearlessness as she defends the women of her clan. She never considers herself worthy yet one beautiful stranger is too much to resist. And when they meet again after a wonderful sinful night in each other’s company the story really takes off. Keira’s gift is revealed, the way she moves others to do what they are good at, her acceptance of all Alexi’s unique qualities once she knows Alexi really wants her, was amazing. The way she calms both Alexi’s man and beast was heart swoon worthy. Loved this couple and was happy to see them get their HEA and also excited for more of this amazing family.
Hoping that Maddox’s story isn’t too long in the future!

Enthralling!
This is the third book in the Ruthless Warlords Series, a Dark Mafia Omegaverse Fated-Mates Romance. This is an interconnected series of standalone stories, with an ongoing plot. Alexi and Keira's story is steamy, action packed, and suspenseful. Alexi, an alpha, is dominant, possessive, and protective. Keira, an omega, is beautiful and brave. They are two broken souls, and they are fated mates. Their relationship is complex, and enthralling. The storyline is captivating. Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter did an excellent job with the narration.
