Summary
Clean cut, all-American, hot as sin, and sweet enough to lick all over.
That's how my friend Skye describes Miles Blake. It's how I'd describe him, too, if I didn't just find out the one-night stand that rocked my world is my best friend's fiancé's best friend—God, what a mouthful.
Now, the cat's out of the bag, and despite the lingering attraction between us, I've locked him firmly in the friend zone.
What else am I supposed to do? If I allow myself to enjoy Miles the way I want to, what will happen when things inevitably go bad? We'd be putting our prospective best friends in the middle, that's what. And I refuse to be the cause of tension between my bestie and the love of her life.
No way. No how.
But it doesn't take long for the desire simmering inside me to come to a head. Miles is charming, funny, gorgeous, and kind—everything I could want in a man wrapped in a sexy package that makes my body revolt against my mind and its ridiculous decision to keep things friendly.
So we make a deal—well remain friends, but with—ahem—benefits. Nothing changes outside of the bedroom, and when we end the physical stuff, well remain friends. No harm. No foul.
It's the perfect plan, right?

Terrific Story & Listen🎧A Sweet & Spicy Delight!
Piper James pens another delightful novel set in her “Branston Bandits” series, a sports romance with lots of humor, heart, and heat. Roxy is a waitress and bakes and sells cookies on the side, with dreams of opening her own shop one day. Miles is eating dinner with friends at the restaurant where she works and he can not keep his eyes off of her, so he makes a move on her, and she agrees to meet him after her shift and the two have a steamy one-night-stand. Roxy did not know that he played football or that they had mutual friends in common until they both saw each other again while visiting those friends, Tessa and Riggs, from the first book. She was not expecting to see him again and having friends in common complicates things, so they decide to only be friends. But there is undeniable chemistry between them and they could only deny each other for so long and they agree to be friends with benefits. What could go wrong with that? There is never a dull moment in this book and the writing, plot and world building are terrific, as are the character growth and development. I thought these two were great together and for each other. Piper James, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst deliver another fabulous performance, bringing the characters and story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on and they are believable in every role they play. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions, having you feel each one. They set the perfect tone for the story and handled the witty dialogue natural and with ease. These two make a great narration team, their voices and performance complement each other and they are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Friends with Benefits
Roxie is working at her job one night when she waits on Miles and his friends they have instant chemistry and have a one night stand. The next night they run into each other at the best friend’s house who happens to be engaged to each other this meeting is awkward. With friends telling her she should give Miles a chance but she is steadfast on just being friends because she does not want to upset the group if there is a breakup. Miles is determined to make a relationship with Roxie work but will her stubbornness derail their relationship before it can even begin. The ending is a good set up,for t the next book in the series which I can’t wait to listen to.
