About this listen

A Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Washington Post, and Amazon Charts best seller

From number one New York Times best-selling phenomenon Sylvia Day comes a hotly anticipated and passionate new love story.

Once, I would never have imagined myself here. But I’m settled now. In a place I love, in a home I renovated, spending time with new friends I adore, and working a job that fulfills me. I am reconciling the past and laying the groundwork for the future.

Then Garrett Frost moves in next door.

He’s obstinate and too bold, a raging force of nature that disrupts the careful order of my life. I recognize the ghosts that haunt him, the torment driving him. Garrett would be risky in any form, but wounded, he’s far more dangerous. I fear I’m too fragile for the storm raging inside him, too delicate to withstand the pain that buffets him. But he’s too determined…and too tempting.

And sometimes hope soars above even the iciest desolation.

Emotional and heartrending, Butterfly in Frost marks a brilliant return by global sensation Sylvia Day, the number-one international multimillion best-selling author of the Crossfire saga.

A beautiful story, of love, loss and grief.

First reading this story, I thought I had missed part of the story, it's not until the end of the book, you realise that actually it all makes sense.

A beautifully written book and great audio. Mainly from Teagan's POV, she tells the story of her life when she meets Garret, the new neighbour next door.

It's not a long book, and of course, I'd d for it to be longer, learned more.

I genuinely wasn’t sure for the 1st hour. A lot of stuff didn’t make sense. Then it got good, then it got really good. I won’t say anymore. It’s a great listen x

I didn't expect that ending, and it felt unfinished to me. I needed more of a proper closer. Our couple here meet when he moved next door, but they are both dealing with grief and depression. It's a very sweet story, how they help each other overcome the loss and bereavement. Dealing with depression wasn't easy.
It's very spicy too, the author detailed their relationship development in the intimacy area well. It was 🔥🔥🔥🌶🌶🌶
The narration was outstanding, it made the spice hotter, the sweet moments more cute and the sadness palpable. Joe Arden and Emma Wilder did an amazing job 💖

3,5⭐ sweet and heartbreak 💔😢

Slow and yet hard to keep up with.
The plot seemed to speed up unnaturally towards the end and it ended quite abruptly making it feeled rushed, whereas the start of the book was really slow, making it difficult to remain engaged.
Even worse was the slow droning voice of the female narrator.
I like the concept of the plot and I wonder if different narrators could have made it easier to remain engaged.
I love Sylvia Days work, but unfortunately, this book was nowhere near the same standard as her other works like the Crossfire Series.

Not the best work of Sylvia Day.

This is a lovely new begin story, after a terrible incedent, with twists that surprised me at the end. Great to know Eva and Carry still on their happy endings and going strong. Read brilliantly by Emma Wilder and Joe Arden.

Amazing, so moving. Loved the writing brought to life as beautifully narrated. Delighted to check in on the Cross family, missing them.

I enjoyed this, I found the twist very unexpected and clever but felt it ended too soon after the big reveal.
