Summary
Ottercombe Bay was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package.
‘Bella Osborne has such a nice touch with description that I was utterly charmed by Ottercombe Bay’ Sue Moorcroft
‘Absolutely brilliant. It's funny, heartwarming, entertaining and I couldn't put it down. It's exactly what you need if you want a delightful summer read’ Phillipa Ashley
Daisy Wickens has returned to Ottercombe Bay, the picturesque Devon town where her mother died when she was a girl. She plans to leave as soon as her great uncle’s funeral is over, but Great Uncle Reg had other ideas. He’s left Daisy a significant inheritance – an old building in a state of disrepair, which could offer exciting possibilities, but to get it she must stay in Ottercombe Bay for twelve whole months.
With the help of a cast of quirky locals, a few gin cocktails and a black pug with plenty of attitude, Daisy might just turn this into something special. But can she ever hope to be happy among the ghosts of her past?

Good Fun!
Lovely, light, funny, engaging, romantic and thoroughly satisfying! A perfect story to drift off to sleep to (even though I did occasionally wake my husband as I laughed out loud at some of Tamzin's remarks!) Well narrated.
Very enjoyable, although I did experience an overwhelming desire to drink gin??...........

Cheesy but fun and perfect with a G&T
I got very Vicar of Dibley Alice vibes from this story but it was fun.
The local village fete falconry description was hilarious and spot on - visited a small Cornish fete and the birds of prey flew away - the year before they'd tried to eat the ferrets from the ferret races!

Great story
Really enjoyed this, great story, excellent narrator, just a shame the main character gets annoying - on several occasions I just wanted to suggest she get a grip!

Rambling
Not a story for me. It just went on for ages and did not keep me wanting to get to the end.

Running time too long...
The narration is okay but the storyline is not particularly engaging and does not really make a lot of sense. The running time is too long as much of what is being said seems to be just space filling. There seems to be a lot going on and there are several characters who get more or less the same amount of dialogue as the main protagonist which is a bit confusing as the story could go off in a different direction but never does, yet I did not feel that the plot flows particularly well and at times the situations being depicted/narrated are confusing as to why/how it is actually relevant to the plot. I did not enjoy the first Audible offering from Bella Osborne ‘Escape To Willow Cottage’ and this title did not rank very highly in enjoyment factor either. All in all disappointing as an Audible offering and I am going to return it for an exchange.
