Loved this boxset! First time with one of these authors. Really great stories that had me hooked and wanting more. Brilliant characters and narrator, loved the underboss/bodyguard too. Good value for money/credit also. Will look for continuation or more from these authors. Thank you x.

I'm so glad I kept listening! at first all I did was cry and feel heartbroken once Marcus's intentions were made apparent. I even found the voice acting not to my taste. so I returned the book.. but I couldn't get Cora out of my head, or the story I had started.. I ended up downloading it again thinking oh well, let's so how it goes and within a couple more chapters I was even more hooked! I still got teary eyed through out at heart wrenching moments, and frustrated at the parts where simply talking could have solved a lot of heartache between Cora and Marcus.
one of the best set of books I've read/listened to and will happily listen to again :)

although in places I could have slapped Cora myself I did like the tussle between her and Marcus, the characters and story were absorbing but it was a bit slow in places but acceptable

First off I do love anything narrated by Jack calihan he's done a few stories i like and he does the story justice.

unrequited loved - age gap romance - kidnapping- entrapment - mafia romance - character development- lies - a form of coming of age,

some trigger warnings for the first book for sure, I was so confused as to the consent of the relationship in the beginning. I think there's a development of Stockholm syndrome for sure in the first books, and the male characters Marcus doesn't stop treating Cora like a child like she has to be kept away from the dark. And even though she tries to grow up, she's so unsure of her self no thanks to a traumatised child hood, there are some trigger warnings there too.
but she tries to to right she grows through out the books her character, well both characters development are so worth sticking around for. get passed the first book it gets better and wow she grows, and you like her hell you wanna like the bad guys too in the end.
I also like that there was trans and gay kink inclusion in the book too so there's something for everyone, felt quite inclusive too me. in my opinion.

This entire thing should have been a single book! Im not sure how the author managed to but she DRAGGED the story out tremendously. The story was so bland. Nothing new happened from the first to the final novel. If nothing else I’m giving her 5 stars just for wasting my time like a gansta. 😎

This series sets the pace from the get go and doesn't let up. Occasionally you do want to slap the main female character for being just plain stupid but it all ties in with the main story and has to happen to build her character at the end, which it absolutely does to perfection. The narrator does a brilliant job with the 'mafiosa' accents and really enhanced my overall enjoyment of the books. Plus lots of really hot sex...of course! I'd give these books 10 stars if I could.
