About this listen
With a foreword by number-one New York Times best-selling author Daniel Amen, Concussion Rescue gives listeners the natural and effective protocols for healing from traumatic brain injury.
In Concussion Rescue, Dr. Kabran Chapek shares the programs and protocols that he uses at the Amen Clinics to put patients on the pathway to healing from traumatic brain injury. From general assessment using sophisticated tools (SPECT imaging, MRIs, and CAT scans) to very specific blood tests (out-of-balance lab values in blood can point to symptoms of brain injury and may explain why the brain is not healing), Dr. Chapek guides listeners to getting the proper medical care. He shares the cutting edge and most effective treatments for acute traumatic brain injury, as well as chronic traumatic brain injury, and provides the most powerful natural treatments.
Concussion Rescue will be an invaluable and potentially lifesaving resource for athletes, parents of student athletes, coaches, and anyone who suffers a mild or severe brain injury.

Not scientific
I was not impressed with this book. Author relies too much on his own anecdotal evidence , and not enough on literature . Often what he believes seems to conflict with published studies . It is too his credit that he’s quick to acknowledge this

Take Responsibility For Your Brain Health
Although my mum died of Alzheimer’s Disease which gave me an interest in brain health and a love of Amen Clinics work, I wouldn’t have read this book if I hadn’t had a mild head injury which lead to concussion symptoms that didn’t seem to be healing, they changed but didn’t heal.
I originally bought the Kindle version but as my symptoms made reading more than a page at a time hard if not impossible, once I was able to listen to voice recordings without side effects I bought the audio version on audible.
With the use of the sleep timer so I kept my listening to a manageable time for me, (half an hour at most,) I started to benefit more from this remarkable book.
I’m glad I have the kindle version too, I found it helpful when researching a multivitamin and other supplements to have the written list, the same goes for the list of therapies that may help with physical alignment after head injury.
My only regret is that I hadn’t read this book before I received a concussion injury which lead to PCS, if I had had this knowledge before my last concussion my symptoms may have been less by implementing rest and supplements immediately, I will never know how much difference that knowledge would have made, but I believe it’s helping my recovery now.
