Summary
A brand new, deliciously wicked romance series from USA Today best-selling author Kerrigan Byrne. The Goode Girls are aren't simply good, they're stunning.
Doctor Titus Conleith emerged from his time as a battlefield surgeon with a mysterious fortune, a lethal secret, and a demon on his back. Ruthlessly intelligent, he was able to lift himself from his beginnings as coal-stained bastard through merciless discipline and inexhaustible skill. Alone by choice, he swore never to open his heart to another. Not after Honoria Goode. The heiress who shattered his hopes and then tread upon the shards of his heart with her bejeweled slippers. The beauty with whom he shared his first taste of passion, before she gave her hand to another.
The woman whose life he just saved from bleeding out on his table....
Honoria’s life as a viscountess has been nothing but a misery she’d brought upon herself with her own cowardice. Trapped for years in a loveless marriage to a cruel rake, she has been widowed by the consequences of his villainy. Now, she must face the man with the blazing golden eyes of the boy she once worshiped, and the dark past they both share.
As their passion reignites with the same fervor of their youth, Honoria can’t help but begin to wonder....
Will he allow her the second chance she doesn’t deserve?

Enjoyed it
I enjoyed the story very much but compared to her other books it was a bit short. But I am reviewing this book mostly because of the narrators. I think Derek Perkins is a brilliant narrator, but having a female narrator also made it even better. As much as I love Derek Perkins voice for the males, especially the heros' sexy voices, I prefer to have a female narrator for the female voices. So 5 stars for both narrators it was brilliant. I hope future books will all be narrated by them. Now on to the next one Mercy's story.

Loved it
A must-read if you enjoyed the Victorian Rebels series and want more. I love Kerrigan's dark historical romances and this one did not disappoint. Although I wouldn't recommend reading it without having read the other books first. Really looking forward to the next books in the series!

Disappointed 😞
I have listened to the Highland Magic Collection and the Victorian Rebels Series which I absolutely adored and hence carried on with the Goode series.
I have to confess I found this one sadly lacking! Titus was a great hero but I found the story implausible and Honoria extremely irritating. In the end, I couldn't have cared less what happened to her!
Regarding the narration, I fail to understand why the author decided to have two narrators when Derek Perkins does a splendid job, whereas Stella Hunter didn't and it therefore spoiled the whole performance.
I won't be continuing with this series and listening to any other books narrated by Stella Hunter!

Too short
Kerrigan Byrne and Derek Perkins are always good, but this is too short to be a novel. It’s hard to believe characters got together so fast. The 2 narrators worked well, though
