The books can be read each as standalone but it works better to read all of them and in the right order.
The narrator wasn’t as convincing in the 1st book as in the later books but as the books have a timeline with a development of the characters and their stories, with own stories with different settings and variety of characters, that works well.
It kept me hooked from start to finish despite the stories seemed to be obvious from start and going into a clear direction with only one ending. Well, that’s what I thought. But every time I had it sussed out, I was proven wrong. When I thought it sounded like a true crime I read before, it went sideways again and again which put everybody in doubt and confusion, the reader as much as the characters in play. Unusual and unexpected but very much appreciated for a cold winter day snuggled in a warm blanket with tea and biscuits.
The linkage of the books is a big part of the intriguing plot.

Ok this started as it went on! Straight into the workings of a child’s problems, the adult psychologist Amy listening & because of her past she feels she can help.
Then as she digs further she begins to be unsure and is she safe. Who’s the one hurting this boy.
This is a fab start to I hope a running series by these 2 brilliant authors.
A definite thriller and it kept me hooked the 2 days I spread it over.
Narrator was very good too. Kept story going on well & you could feel her as she read it.
Book 2
Wow the 1st was good, this 1 just got better!
A quiet peaceful woman falls for a seemingly lovely guy, yes he was moving a bit fast, but when it’s right then you know it’s right, don’t you!
What a fab thrilling story!
Narrator was great too, enjoyed her pace of keeping story going.
Book 3
A lovely hike & camping holiday with like minded people and free? Who wouldn’t want to try this.
