About this listen

Six books in one.

Critical thinking can be defined as "finding out how to think better by enhancing one's thinking skills". People who are critical thinkers use the thinking procedure to evaluate, consider, reflect on, and piece together what they have learned or are currently learning. Unfortunately, much of everybody's thinking tends to be prejudiced, imprecise, uncertain, uninformed, or even sexist or racist. Since this ends up being significantly limiting, critical thinking is needed to improve its quality and value.

Book one: In this guide, you will see that you will get that chance.

Topics such as the following will be discussed:

  • The true meaning and definition of critical thinking
  • The main benefits (something you need to know to see the importance of it)
  • What critical thinking traits include
  • A brief historical overview of how this theory came to existence
  • Intuition and its role in making such decisions
  • Biases and contexts that require some heavy problem-solving skills
  • How people use justifications and various arguments to back up their statements

Book two: In this book, a wealth of information awaits you, including those important job skills of critical thinkers. Several ones will be highlighted that are specifically designed for certain positions. Hard skills, soft skills, and other critical thinking skills will be addressed. Last but not least, you will be enlightened with more insights into relevant reasoning, predispositions, and biases, the meaning of language and words that shape our thinking, and various other smaller topics.

Book three: Special attention in this book is given to emotional maturity and intelligence. Their meaning, importance, and the methods to develop those qualities are highlighted elaborately. In the end, another chapter is all about moral character, how people develop it, what it does, etc.

Book four: Logical thinking is something everyone tries, but only some succeed. Do you think logically? You may be surprised by the answer.

Topics include:

  • How people fall into certain patterns of reasoning a certain way
  • How rationality and emotions can contradict each other, but don’t always do so
  • Myths, truths, and logic related to stoicism
  • All the different aspects of logical reasoning you should know about
  • How people often deceive themselves and distort their moral compass

Book five: Fallacies are everywhere. Basically, people of so many different cultures, backgrounds, and upbringings reach the wrong conclusions because the way they reason is false. It makes sense. Life is complex. We all make mistakes. We all contribute certain consequences to the wrong causes, and we base our opinion on a myriad of assumptions, which are based on previous experiences.

Book six: In this comprehensive guide, your cognitive abilities will be put to the test. Deep thinking will be your companion as you study the topics explained and outlined in here.

For example, these topics are yours to comprehend once you go through the content:

  • Historical anecdotes of the concept of critical thinking
  • Objectivity, its usefulness and applications
  • Theoretical thoughts about the opposite: The clutches of subjectivity
  • What skepticism can do: the pros, the cons, and the conditions that apply
