About this listen
Vampire Academy meets X-Men in this completed new adult series! There’s only one rule in the world I come from. Keep our existence a secret. Period.
The day my sister broke that rule one too many times, I knew there would be consequences. I expected us to be sent to one of those schools for “troubled” kids - and maybe Daizlei Academy was, in a way. But really, it was far more complicated than that.
You see, I thought that world had forgotten me. Forgotten us. For years we were left alone, and one day...we weren’t.
It was only when I got there that I remembered the second rule: Trust no one.
Because in our world? They would kill me if they knew the truth of what I am.
Daizlei Academy is a school for Supernaturals.
And me? I’m so much more.
This is a New Adult Academy series with slow-burn romance and a strong, but flawed heroine. It is labeled new adult for stronger language and some mature situations. As the heroine ages and grows, so does the content of the stories.
This boxset contains:
- Heir of Shadows
- Scion of Midnight
- Queen of Lies
- Vessel of Destruction
4. Vessel of Destruction

The best audiobook I’ve listened to
I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It transforms you into this different world when magic pain sacrifice are all very real things. I would recommend this book 100%

Awesome book with great character arcs
Loved this book series, have recommended for my like minded friends and family. Love the character arcs. Only sad point is I wanted it to end differently but the ending was still good.

Great series. Amazing narration and writing
this series was a pleasure to listen to. The characters are flawed and have great depth but hugely endearing despite their sins. They are no angels but no delvils. The way the author gives you an insight into the characters minds allows me I really feel like I understand every small decision the characters make. plenty of exciting and emotional moments too and plenty of fast pased amazing action without sacrificing character dialogue and interaction. would deffo recommend

Daizlei Academy
A stunning unique novel by Kel Carpenter . Clever writing that draws you n, so you relate to every character . The tale progresses as the sisters supernatural powers grow . Narration grips you into the storyline and becomes more compelling . I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can’t wait to read more of her novels

It was good
4 books
Book one, the FMCs are 15, book 2 and 3 they are 16, and last book they are 17 going on 30.
These young females are not human and hold a lot of power. With this much power, I try and see them as more than just kids. It helps when it comes to their love life.
I do love their banter, and some of the side characters add to the world really well...except Tan, I feel like he is supposed to be a better character than he comes across as. But Ash little sister is funny. So yay!
Not everything gets tied up in a nice bow for me. Some things in end have me wondering how that is possible. Surely she will get bond sickness no matter how well you hide her.
Other things are nicely closed off, even if I wished for a HEA for all of them and hot like 80% HEA, 20% oh well they live on.
From the comments, I expected a lacking world, immature and predictable. But I didn't get that, I got a really well-built world with well-rounded characters...well, not Ash and Lucas. Them two just blah. Feel like I know more about Alec than them two. Yes, in the beginning, they had big parts, but it didn't feel like they developed as the other characters did.
Up downs and the blessed 🙌🏿

Fantastic storyline. Brilliant narration
Storyline gripping from start to Finnish. couldn't stop listening. Brilliant characters. Found selena a bit frustrating at times. self pity and indecisive made me want to scream at her. Thoroughly enjoyed it didn't want it to end.

Good story narration but lacks romance
The narration is good the story line is good not quite the academy types stories I’m used to. If looking for one with a romance blossoming this is not it takes till book 3 and the interactions emotionally are non existent. The story line is about the main story rather than the boy and the girls so to speak there progression from foe to partners. I’m a soppy romantic so I missed not having that aspect of the story line watching them gradually come together and see how they emotionally grow to love one another. Well I’m assuming they do can’t remember hearing either of them saying they did in the very rare interaction either speaking to each other lol
