Summary

This box set includes the first three full-length books in the best-selling Nightworld Academy series.

Welcome to the Nightworld Academy, attended by vampires, shifters, and witches. A place filled with harmony and mutual respect between the supernatural races. Sometimes.

I'm Maeve Foster, the weird girl whose disturbing visions drive her increasingly mad. My behavior became too challenging, so I'm shipped off to the Nightworld Academy to spend time with other troubled teens.

Troubled vampire, witch, and shifter teens.

Somebody forgot to give me the memo - I'm a witch.

On the plus side, I now have friends who don't think I'm crazy.

There's Ash, the rugby team captain and the academy's most popular guy, who just happens to be a shifter.

Then, there's Andrei, the moody guy with a bad attitude who takes pleasure in annoying me - oh, and he's a blood-drinking vampire tempted by taboo witch blood.

My quirky witch roommate Amelia takes me under her wing, as does her friend Jamie, the studious and friendly witch who's by my side when I need him.

Add in my confusing pull toward the mysterious and hot Professor Whitlock, and I'm in trouble.

I'm thrust into a world where potions lessons and academy games are fraught with rivalry and where the Dominion insurgents join forces with the exiled Blackwood witches to take on the corrupt Confederacy council.

My powers are more potent than anybody expected, and I discover I'm a pawn in a war between the Confederacy and Dominion. My bond to the four guys grow, and I'll need to rely on each of them to help me navigate my new life. But forbidden relationships and unusual magic bonds make this life twice as complicated.

If you love a fierce heroine who learns to accept her life, delicious guys who love and protect her, and an academy world filled with magic, mystery, romance, and danger, scroll up and one-click to start the series today. This series is a slow burn YA/NA reverse harem.

Please note: This set contains books one to three and is not the entire series.

Slow burn

The protagonist is really annoying but by halfway through book 2 I couldn’t put this book down now going straight on to book 4.

Great, but somewhat slow to get going.

I'm so glad I bought the box set. I thoroughly enjoyed binging the three, but to call the story a slow burn is the understatement of a lifetime. I don't think I'd have been satisfied if I were to have bought the books one at a time and would probably have abandoned the series somewhere around book 2 had I not bought all 3. I'm glad I didn't, and I'm about to sink my teeth into the 4th, so hopefully, that's enough of an endorsement for you to give it a listen.

I found the structure a little confusing and struggled to follow. that's probably a me thing rather than a failing of the author, but the jumping from one character to another's first person perspective I found a little jarring when the narrative started to follow more than two characters. I think this would have been avoided if the box set had more than 2 narrators though and as I said, probably more a me issue.

the way the female narrators pronounced certain words like immature and mirror bugged me a little.

other than those admittedly pretty minor issues, I think anyone who likes the fantasy and urban fantasy genre would enjoy these books.

Slow burn

A very slow burn. The storyline is a very slow start in book 1. However picks up a lot by book 3. I would have probably enjoyed the series a lot more if I hadn’t listened on audible as the Narrators accents were both very poor attempts at british.

Not on my taste

After volume 2 I put the book down, really the action is slow pass but I found it interesting, but at the beginning of volume 3 when she's thinking about going out with 3 guys at once it was already too much. I liked that it wasn't full of sex and things like that but by the time she got there to her "little harem" it was already enough for me

A worse version of Twilight.

Absolutely nothing happens. We spend there whole books waiting for something to happen and it just doesn't. The accents are awful, the main chart being the worst. Random explitives injected in that do noting for the story. RUBBISH!
