Summary

In a world of demons, goblins, witches, sirens, werewolves, vampires, and so much more, it can be difficult to determine who is guilty of what and why. Chris White is a detective who fearlessly investigates this supernatural world, himself a unique product of it. He will take any case brought to him, but has a particular affinity for helping those who inhabit the poor districts of his city. From strange rituals and runaway vampires, to fighting sorcerers and confronting a demon lord, this paranormal detective will face any challenge - even a dance with the devil.

Be prepared to hang in there!!! Its a really good!

Would you consider the audio edition of Dance with the Devil to be better than the print version?

The print version of this story is easier to understand because you can easily go to the contents and check the timeline, but if your willing to listen through to the end of the book you'd easily understand it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dance with the Devil?

When Sable and Chris first meet each other.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The part of the story when two if the main characters first meet, Chris and Doug.

Any additional comments?

I loved this story, yes it can be confusing as it doesn't follow a straight timeline, but it isn't overly confusing when it jumps back and forth as the author has clearly indicated when this happens, as can been heard during the audio book. Paul Morey reads the book clearly and also defines each character with a change of voice, it is never confusing figuring out who is who, and he keeps the same voice for each of the characters throughout the whole of the book.

When ghosts get together with demons

This is one of Megan Derr's most beloved novels for me. I love her writing style which reminds me of fairytales.

The structure isn't something easy for everyone to get behind but it's one of the things I liked. Telling Doug's, Phil's and Chris's stories interwoven with cases that Chris as a detective handled. Yes there's a back and forth in timeline, giving a bit of background, most times after the fact, but me, I loved that.

Sable and Chris are really, really hot and good together!

What I could have done without, being all the more pronounced in audio, is the many repetitions of names and phrases that needed that needed to be edited to tighten up the novel.
