About this listen
Syms Covington has landed the job of a lifetime - cabin boy and fiddler on Charles Darwin's Beagle. But when he is separated from the crew during a storm, his life takes a truly extraordinary turn.
Shipwrecked on a Galapagos island, he makes a discovery that could change the world - and make his fortune. But should he share his find, or will it lead to the extinction of a legendary species? There's one person who could help, but he's busy writing a book.

Enjoyable, interesting and exciting
This story really grew on me and I was fascinated by the end. It wasn't the story I was exoecting but by the end I was really caught up in the story. I didn't particularly like the narrator who didn't pronounce the t at the end of words so sometimes I didn't know what he'd said.

Great for inspiring young naturalists.
A ripping yarn based on the adventures of Darwin's young assistant Syms Covington and what he may or may not have discovered in the Galapagos. Plenty of actual historical references, and less-actual relationships with friendly reptiles. The narration is in a slightly dreary monotone which let it down until he did some surprisingly impressive accents later on.

I would recommend it to people that like adventr.
The most memorable moment for me was when Darwin gave Covington a new fiddle. Тhis is a 9-year-old girls opinion.
