Summary
Davey’s Rule #85: Daddy will always treat his boy like he's Daddy’s world…because that’s how it should be!
This 258k bundle includes the first four books from this best-selling series loosely centered around Davey - a guy on the search for a perfect Daddy…and the insane list of rules he makes along the way. Each book begins with Davey on a not-so-perfect date that ends after the perspective Daddy breaks three rules he didn’t know existed. Each failed date goes on to find his own perfect match and often with Davey’s help, whether they want it or not.
Rules to Follow
Davey’s college roommate shows up on his doorstep after leaving an abusive relationship. This is Travis and Adam’s story. While Adam rediscovers his own strength while accidentally finding love in the arms of someone he never knew he wanted - a perfect, nurturing Daddy-type who will love him unconditionally.
Rules to Break
After taking a bet right out of Pygmalion and My Fair Lady, disciplinarian-type Daddy Bryan has ninety days to turn Preston - a bratty diva - into a polite guy that anyone would want to date. Bryan isn’t looking for a relationship while Preston wants to find true love. This should be a simple ninety-day bet with no problems, right?
Rules for Santa
Homeless, unemployed, and with no family who cares, Cameron Evans doesn’t dare wish for his holiday dreams to come true. All hope seems to be lost until he’s swept off his feet by the perfect Santa Daddy, who wants to show him what it’s like to have a Daddy who only wants to spoil a sweetie like him.
Rules for Growing
Established couple Landon and Mikey unexpectedly find the missing piece they weren’t even looking for when a lonely “pup” stumbles into their lives.
This is the first of a two-volume set of bundles containing this complete series about not-so-perfect Daddies, adorable “boys”, and one sassy brat with an insane list of rules. Grab your fan and tissues, because this series comes with both a high heat advisory and all the squishy feels you’d want from Susan Hawke’s books.

They're all so good! Such a great series & bundle!
Book 1: An emotionally gripping, poignant and healing story!!
Adam and Travis are perfect together, they just fit! I found their connection organic and really enjoyed their journey. All the secondary characters Susan has created are fantastic and there are so many I want to know more about and I can’t wait for Davey and Travis’ brother Brian’s story up next. I love this collection of characters and hope there will be many more stories from Davey and his tribe!!!!
Book 2: Oh, my heart! Emotional, heartbreaking, and heartwarming, I loved this book!!!
I knew there had to be more to Preston and my heart just broke for him. I spent almost this entire book on the edge of tears for the sad neglect of Preston and his life, family, and sweet naivete at every turn. I felt for his longing and desire for love and understanding. I loved to watch his growth and while there was the trademark Susan wit and humor the core of this book was very emotional.
Book 3: It’ll get you ready for Santa 😉 All the feels!
I’m loving this series and loved Davey’s dad! Such a feel-good story, I loved confident, strong Scott and sweet, somewhat innocent Cameron and loved their happily ever after!
Book 4: Adorably awesome but not long enough!!
So much is packed into this tasty little number! We get some cheeky insight into Mickey/Michael and Landon’s relationship in and out of the bedroom as well as meeting an adorable, somewhat suppressed pup, Chris or later know as Topher. These three are so sweet together and I’m so glad we got to see more of Landon and Mikey! I especially loved the sass and boldness of Michael we got to see 😉 I’ll admit I was surprised LOL.
Such a great series & bundle! Can't wait for Bundle two!!

Amazing series!
Honestly, each book in this collection is very different, but so good in its own right. I do enjoy the excerpts at the start of each book that tell Davey's story. Although you can read these as standalones, it's much more fun to read them in order to get a sense of each relationship and person as you see them over and over again throughout the series.
This is honestly one really great series and the fact that it's now a bundle is fantastic!

Perfect balance between funny and sexy.
This series is great! So many different Daddies and boys for everyone’s tastes. This series is the perfect balance between funny and sexy.
I already read the individual stories and had the chace to get back to them narrated by the awesome Michael Dean. Here are my reviews for the individual stories:
RULES TO FOLLOW
I loved this story! Daddy is always my favourite kink, and when matched with a hurt/comfort theme of domestic violence by the ex-boyfriend, it was just the perfect read for me.
Adam is so sweet and young, but so strong and resilient, too. Travis is just the perfect caretaking Daddy, although in the beginning he makes the mistake of not coming clean about his kink with Adam for fear of scaring him off.
These two men are so perfect together that I can’t even express how cute they are!
RULES TO BREAK
In this book I loved the banter between Preston and Daddy Bryan.
Preston, being the mouthy, arrogant sassy brat that he is, just doesn’t seem to resist taunting Bryan; and Bryan, as a discipline Daddy, wouldn’t have it any other way, he just enjoys the taunts and the consequent punishments too much.
Forced together by a bet, they begin to know and care for each other more and more, and as Daddy Bryan finds out that Preston is more than he shows to the world, his own rules of no commitment, no cuddling and no forever are more and more in danger...
There are the premises for a whole new plethora of wonderful books with all the side characters that make up the Daddy's Lap's crowd, and I can’t wait to read more!
RULES FOR SANTA
This was the cutest of the Daddy's books so far! A significant age gap (scott being 48 and Cameron almost 21) and very low angst for this sweet Christmas Daddy story!
I loved how effortlessly Scott and Cameron fall into place together, and how much their building relationship makes Davey (Scott's son) squirm.
RULES FOR GROWING
This sweet short story is about Daddy Landon and his little Mikey, and about them meeting and falling in love with sweet and bouncy pup Chris. It's super cute and Michael Dean is incredible in narrating it with the right amount of joy and happiness!

The best series ever!
In every book we witness how a boy found the perfect Daddy for him, but it goes beyond that. The world featured on this series is one full of acceptance and love where Daddies won’t let that the evilness and uggliness of outside, touches their precious boys helping them to find their inner strenght to forget the past and be happy, while making them happy themselves. Of course, Davey showed them the right path with his rules, that grew in number and wisdom as each book passes and that at the end are the spine of the story. This first part includes the first 4 books of the series and alongside a sweet love story, each one of them is masterfully narrated by Michael Dean who showed us again why he is one of the best voice actors out there. He is perfect with every character giving them a unique personality. Hearing his amazing narration, I totally can visualize Davey scolding a Daddy, Mikey as a little, Cameron cute shyness and more. Definitely one of the best books ever written beautifully narrated and a must for anyone who loves age play.

Davey's Rules pt 1
This vol is so great. I love Davey's crazy but fun rules. The 4 stories in this vol were so sweet. My favorite is Santa Daddy because I love a good May/December romance.

Very entertaining
I’m so glad I listened to these stories. They came to life more for me than the voice in my head if I had read them. The set says Michael Dean is the narrator and I think he did a great job.
Rules to follow:
This is the first book I’ve listened to/read by this author. Right from the first paragraph I was laughing. Davey is a delight. His coming across as snarky in such a funny way is endearing. Davey has rules while looking for a daddy. I believe they were up to 85 in this story. Yet he also has this protective side that makes him behave like a daddy so there is that conflict in his personality. When his abused collage roommate shows up at his place he takes him in, finds him a job, a place to stay and introduces him to Travis. Adam and Travis’s story is almost fairytale like but sure is enjoyable. Also since Davey has had a date with Travis it is funny that Adam is the one that is attracted to him. I loved the ending where Davey even tries to date Bryan, Travis’s brother, and how that date went is a story of its own.
Rules to Break:
This is Preston and Bryan’s story. Preston broke my heart. He has no idea about normal everyday life. He has an attitude. When he makes a bet with Bryan things get real entertaining. Bryan has a full time job watching over Preston. I am still laughing every time I think about Preston sub contracting his house hold chores. Him riding on a bus again gave me more to laugh at. I really got a laugh how even though Bryan is suppose to be the one in charge, Preston ends up with keeping some of his previous lifestyle. I was surprised that there isn’t much about Davey’s rules in this story. Michael Dean really gave feeling to these characters. I never would have enjoyed the book half as much as I did with his narration.
Rules for Santa:
Each of the stories have held my heart for different reasons. Some because of the fun and laughs I got. This one broke my heart from the beginning. Cameron is totally without ego. He is on the point of no return when Scott actually almost falls upon him. From the beginning I felt the warmth in Scott and the need in Cameron. I have to say there are quite a few laughs in this story also. Since Scott is Davey’s dad I would have expected no less. Davey is a character on his own level and when someone is getting involved with his dad, it makes for entertaining actions on Davey’s part. I really enjoyed the comparison Scott made when shopping between Cameron and Davey. I love this story.
Rules for Growing:
This is a novella so I don’t feel the characters got as deeply developed. Maybe it’s because I’m not into puppy play but this story just didn’t do much for me. I think it was done too quickly to take a relationship and change it so much. I have to say the one thing I really enjoyed is the reading of Davey’s Rules. I’m glad I got to listen to the narration of this or I’m afraid I would have liked it less.

Loved the series, love the audio even more!
Before listening to this collection, I’d actually already read or listened to several of the books (most of the ones in Volume Two). But I was a late comer to the series and read them out of order, beginning with Rules for Santa (it was also my first Susan Hawke book). Even though I’d already read Rules for Santa it was over two years ago; I was just as captivated by it the second time around.
While Daddy kink will probably not ever become my favorite trope in the MM world, I’ve read several more of them since reading Rules for Santa and my appreciation of them has grown. My appreciation of this series has also grown from the time that I read and reviewed Rules for Santa.
I don’t know that I could have enjoyed this series nearly as much as an audiobook if it wasn’t for Michael Dean. The voices he used for all of the different characters were fantastic. He captured the essence of Davey in each story and he was the perfect bratty boy in Rules to Break. I really can’t say enough good things about his performance of this collection of stories.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
