Going to listen again now that i have fully grasped the style of the book. It’s quite dark but it’s very well written

Loved the narration - took me back to my childhood and formative years growing up in Africa. Some challenging words that I had to gloss over as couldn't find the meaning online. Does detract from the story though. This is an author I'd read again for sure!

The descriptions!

A great story and the writing style reminds me of Ben Okri. The Narrators did their best but most of the names were mispronounced. Cultural awareness were lacking. Phrases were butchered. All these annoyed me so much it took the enjoyment out of it. The accents were Wakandan 😅 . If it had English names, it would have been incredible. It was disappointing.
