About this listen

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden comes an electrifying medical thriller, Dead Med, originally published as Suicide Med.

"All I can think about is how pathetic it would be to die in the anatomy lab. The last thing I want is to become one of the dead bodies."

When Heather McKinley dreamed of becoming a doctor, she imagined curing sick kids and sporting pink stethoscopes. She never anticipated the sleepless nights, grueling exams, and endless labs. And she certainly never knew that her medical school earned the nickname Dead Med thanks to the tragic history of students overdosing on illegal drugs.

But Heather would never consider doing anything like that. That is, until her longtime boyfriend dumps her, she finds herself failing anatomy, and her world starts to crumble.

Everyone has a breaking point.

Then, on the night before the final exam in anatomy, a shot rings out through the hallways of Dead Med.

The school has claimed yet another casualty. One of Heather's classmates has done the unthinkable, and before her desperate 911 call even connects, it will happen again.

And the night is just beginning.

Please note that Dead Med was originally published as Suicide Med. Dead Med is a revision with 20% new material.

I really enjoyed the story being told from the varying perspectives. It’s the kind of book you need to read again to fully appreciate. I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending, but thoroughly enjoyed it overall.

Another great story from Frieda McFadden. Although I expected a different ending this book glued me to my headphones! Narrators are also great to listen to

Another brilliant listen

Great until the last hour then it got slow and repetative, which was a shame as I did really enjoy it initially

Okay

Probably one of my least favourite of FM's so far. Still worth a read though.

As usual Freida nails the medical facts so all felt mostly plausible. Gripping throughout but was cross that disaster was not averted clearly some very blind people for a medical institution!

Flawed characters but addictive listening

It’s a bit predictable. There are many parts, from each characters point of view but each time you can see what is going to happen.

Easy to listen to

There was nothing to it. Boring. No twists. Nothing fun. Nothing thrilling. It’s hours of my life I’ll never get back. I’ve give. This author a couple of tries with 2 other novels and all of them are as dull as each other. I’d honestly rather read the phone book.

Blah.Dull dull dull
