About this listen

When the spirit of a young male prostitute comes to psychic Tennyson Grimm asking him to find the john who brutally murdered him, Tennyson can't say no. Only able to communicate through the use of images, rather than words, getting any information out of the young man is frustrating and slow going.

Cold Case Detective Ronan O'Mara has been on a roll solving cases since he and Tennyson last teamed up to solve the Michael Frye case. Unfortunately, the red-hot romance that had blossomed between them during that investigation is now off in a ditch, thanks to Ronan's self-confessed pigheadedness.

Agreeing to work together despite the rift in their relationship, Tennyson and Ronan discover they are in for more than they bargained for when more victims start to reveal themselves to Tennyson.

Realizing they might have a serial killer on their hands, the two men work tirelessly to stop this madman from killing again, but when the killer targets the son of a prominent member of the Boston Police Department, can Ronan and Tennyson save him before it's too late?

Oh my, this story tugged at my heart!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4.5 stars

Oh my, this story tugged at my heart!!!

I don't know where Pandora gets her ideas but this story tugged at my heartstrings and filled me with joy and sadness. The story follows on from book one and Ronan and Ten aren't in a great place. After the bomb dropped on Ronan in book one he's a bit bruised and doesn't do well with communicating with Ten. When Tenneson finds a young (working) boy's spirit on his bed he has no choice but to seek Ronan's help and they are thrown head first into a troubling case that exposes a serial killer targeting gay street kids. The kids and their situations broke my heart and it saddens me that this happens in real life. No one should be kicked out of their home for who they love and something they can't control!

I especially love Greely and loved discovering more about Ronan's boss Kevin.

This story was a rollercoaster I devoured in one sitting!! Wonderful characters, classic Pandora wit and a terrifying thrill that will hold you in its grips until the epilogue!!

Highly recommended series!!!

Another great listen

I loved this second audiobook in the Cold Case Psychic series. While trying to solve the murder of a young male prostitute, Ronan and Ten also struggle to recover from the traumatic events that ended the first book in the series. Their struggle felt so realistic and touching. Just because you survive doesn't automatically mean you've won, and sometimes loving another person just isn't enough to make everything better. I loved seeing more of Captain Fitzgibbon. Although his decision to take in Greeley seemed sudden and precipitous, it was also very sweet. Whether realistic or not, it made the captain feel more human and relatable. I love the way the chosen family of Tennyson and his friends keeps growing and developing. The mystery is this book wasn't as cut and dried as the one in book 1. Here, both suspects have attributes that could lead to murder, and yet they are upstanding citizens. Watching Ronan and Ten work out the answers to find the culprit was very enjoyable and sets up a tense finish as dramatic as the one that ended book 1. While this is a complete story, Ten does something near the end that seriously affects his life and future. I am eager to listen to the next book to see how he works it out.

The narration was excellent. All the characters were provided distinct voices, and were easy to distinguish. The delivery is smooth and well-paced, too.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook, and this is my honest, voluntary review.

This was an amazing book. I already knew the story but having it narrated made it much more real and broke my heart even more.
I really loved this book and can't wait to get started on the next one

Yet another great instalment! ☺️

This audiobook is as good as the first, not letting down on a great storyline as well as snark and humour.

If you enjoyed the first audiobook, you’ll definitely enjoy this one 😁

Highly recommend 🥰

Definitely worth a 5⭐️ review ☺️

Book 2 is just as good!

I really like this series so far. Tennessee and Ronan are going through the teething equivalent of relationship issues. I liked that Tenn showed some spirit, (no pun intended), in not giving in to Ronan, but sometimes he was a little bratty when Ronan was clearly trying to bridge the gap.
The mystery was good, it had me guessing as to the motive; wasn't too surprised at the perp.
Michael Pauley gives a great performance, as usual. All the feelings, humour can be clearly heard in his performances - this is no exception.
His narration definitely makes this a very enjoyable experience.

enjoyable reading

Wasn't sure about the book when i first started listening to it but soon got captured by the characters and storyline. not sure about Michael Pauley as i find him a little over dramatic, if him calmed down a bit i would have enjoyed the book a lot more.
i would say a must read though!

Addictive listening

Book two in the Cold Case Psychic series. Having read the ebook, the story is familiar, but once again brought to another level by Michael Pauley’s narration. I’m addicted to this series and am loving the audios
If you like Cops and Psychics. Kids and ghosts, this series is a must.

Loved it

This time Ten and Ronan are hunting a serial killer, after Ten gets a visit from a young man who asks him to find his murderer, more bodies and spirits are found, so our duo hunt a killer who is after someone they both care about. The characters and world of CCP is growing and filling with even more wonderful additions.
This second book is as good as the first, the subject matter is just as sensitive which could be upsetting.
I loved Michael’s voice which encapsulates who these characters are. This is a series worth either listening to, reading or as I have both, I highly recommend it.

Enjoyable listen

Tennyson and Ronan are on the hunt for a serial killer in the second instalment of the series. As with the first book in the series the story is gripping and keeps you wanting to listen to get to the end. Tennyson and Ronan’s relationship is progressing too, not always smoothly. I like both character, they both make you root for everything to work for them.
The narration is also good, and like in book one, works perfectly with the story. I can’t wait to hear more.

I'm hooked on this series

I absolutely loved this story, even more then book 1! The story is engaging and dramatic, the characters continue to grow and the narration is still top notch. I particularly love Ronan - he's such an idiot at times but somehow it's endearing. There's too much virtue signalling but that's my only criticism - fun detective romp and I'm looking forward to the next one!!
