About this listen
Years have passed since the dead rose and wiped out most of the living. Many survivors have gathered in pockets around the world. Some are bent on trying to restore what once was, others have a mind to create something new and better from the ashes of civilization, and then there are those who thrive in the hellish chaos of lawlessness.
While the undead currently roam the world in herds that can often stretch for miles and number in the millions, the zombies are no longer the biggest threat to humanity's continued existence. That distinction has returned to mankind.
Those who are immune to the zombie infection are now either reviled or revered. Some have become human biological weapons while others are seen as the last hope for the continued existence of the human race. They are a symbol of hope to some...fear to others.
©2014 Todd Brown (P)2015 Todd BrownI'm enjoying the children storyline, different and original. Although a real consitant sexist streak is settling in (which lost it a star) which is odd as there are stronger female characters 'doing' the action in the story but it seems like all the men think in a very sexist way, I guess the author thinks this is what would happen if there was a zombie apoclpse and maybe it would but as a woman it gets a bit boring hearing this over and over from every male character, that said there is interesting variety in how women are written which makes it all the more disappointing.
FYI typical bad British accents, so nothing new!
I enjoyed the spinoffs too, the 'Dead snapshots' are great, I like the attention to detail (the English one was pretty much on point re: lingo and culture) and I'm enjoying the new Dead series.
Really enjoyed this book series

What would have made Dead: Reclamation better?
This book seems to have jumped a massive time gap from the last one making some old characters bit parts and new ones bit boring if truth be told.Has Dead: Reclamation put you off other books in this genre?
Yes this book really put me off any further DEAD books if they come outYou didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The book it written well but for a dead book it is short but until near the end it was ok.Any additional comments?
Ok it seems like the series has ran out of ideas, the book is very short compared with previous ones but the bigger problem it was just boring as time had gone along and we had to re-engage with characters years on and this really did not work for me..... The biggest problem is that weak characters now take centre stage so it is a bit 'wet' and boring really until you get to geeks which i love but at the end of the book something happens here to wipe out the last real big character in the dead series, this author is great at doing that and even though i normally hate it, i do get why he does it but to be honest normally a strong character comes in to replace but thinking of this book and maybe last 2 i really only buy to hear the geeks adventures mainly with the other bits filling time and now i say thanks for an amazing series but you really needed the KD in the series to keep it alive and for me it is now dead. If 11 comes out i am sorry it will not be in my cart but thanks for a great ride til this book.Love it or Hate it Book, I hated it
