Summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Shanora Williams comes a forbidden romance about a college woman who helplessly falls for her best friend's father.

Dear Mr. Black,

I know you were hurting. I heard your cries for help. I wished over and over again that I could make it better, but as you stated, I was too inexperienced; too good for someone as bad as you. Perhaps you were right, but it didn't matter because what I did know was that I loved the way you felt - loved the way you smelled. I loved how hard you got for me, and when you called me your Little Knight. I had been madly in love with you ever since I was 12 years old, but I shouldn't have been. My best friend - your daughter - Isabelle would have hated it. I couldn't afford to lose her. Besides, you two had already lost enough. Losing Mrs. Black was the epitome. It's me, Chloe Knight. I wanted to be there for you no matter what, but Isabelle needed me, too, and she would have hated me if she ever found out I was sleeping with her father.

Dear Mr. Black was formerly titled the number one best seller, Tainted Black.

I don't think I could Love Theo and Chloe any more

When a book starts with a warning from the author it kind of builds the story into what you think will be very taboo.
I'm not sure I felt this.
Yes Chloe was 12 when she met Mr Black for the first time, yes she was friend of his daughter, yes she was underage for a number of years but nothing untoward happens during these years.
Theo and Chloe first have an interaction when Chloe is 19, that moment changed their relationship forever.
Theo looks down at Chloe during this first time taking his time with her, making sure she enjoyed the experience.
Chloe was sure Mr Black had thought naughty thoughts about her when underage knowing it's wrong and dirty and yet she carried on and lost her vaginity to Mr Black before she went away to college.
The book continued this way with the taboo storyline until you know trouble is coming. In fact a storm is brewing. The book didn't give us a happy ever after ending like lots of books would this gave us a real ending. I've read reviews saying the epilogue makes the reader not want to read the second book because it gives us a finale that could easily be how you want these characters to end up. There was some kind of being exactly how things should be but no I'm desperately throwing myself into yet another installment ready for more trials and tribulations. I absolutely loved this book..I loved both Chloe's growth and Theo! There was such a huge amount of history, love and passion that it is inevitable we have another installment!
