DI Jade Tanner's new Complex Crimes Unit is finding its feet. DS Mo Uddin is settling into his new Scottish home, Dr. Petra McBride has stopped receiving anonymous calls, and Jade is working to support her son over the loss of his dad.

But then a mysterious crime is added to their workload. The body of a young man is discovered at the top of Dunsinane Hill, with soil from Birnam Wood in his pockets.

The two sites are sixteen miles apart, so this is no fluke. Petra and Jade immediately spot the Macbeth reference. And when another body is found at a second location linked to the play, they worry there could be more killings.

At least 5 chapters are repeated. This audiobook was produced over a year ago, in 2023, and the fact that there are repeated sections has been flagged more than once in the past. Possibly Audible should withdraw it until it is re-editied.

Sadly there are 3 repeated chapters in the recording which detracts from the story. I’m sure it’s not the fault of the narrator. Needs sorting.

A great book but at least 5 parts are duplicated and more than one bit missing. Such a shame as this authpr is one of my favourites and it is the editing of the recording that is awful

Felt part of the team as well as enjoying the detailed parts of some of Scotland I don’t know only problem was there was something wrong with the recording as it kept repeating sections which was a bit distracting having to keep playing it forward!

As others have said, parts of the story are duplicated. It’s disappointing that most of Rachels books I can sync with kindle but this one doesn’t.

Chapters 38, 47, 54, 82 and 90 are all duplicated.
Chapters 39, 48, 55, 83, 89 and 91 are all missing completely.
A total waste of a credit, I wish I'd read the reviews before purchasing but as book 1 was a very good listen then I just went ahead and got it. Very disappointing.
