About this listen
Author's note: There are more Titan books coming. This novella is about Titan's Delta team. Old characters and new. Standalone, no cliffhanger. I hope you enjoy.
A Man Is Nothing
Trace Reeves was one bad day from a dishonorable discharge. The best the Navy SEALs had to offer, he became a vengeful, angry mess when his twin brother was killed-in-action. Now he's focused on a deadly obsession and unable to cope with the pain and guilt...except one time, in the arms of a one night stand that he'd never see again. She was smart, the sexiest thing he'd ever touched, but she disappeared into the night.
Without His Team
Titan Group was recruiting for their Delta team. They wanted ghosts. No ties. Nothing personal. The best of the best who could live off the grid and surface when commanded. Trace was the perfect recruit. Damaged. Heroic. Nothing to lose.
Until a Mission - or a Woman - Changes Everything
But when Trace's one-time fling becomes his high-value target during a black ops job, the lines blur between her rescue mission and saving himself.
Delta: Retribution is the first title in the new Delta series, a spin off from the Titan series. This novella was available in the Hot Alpha SEALs: Military Romance Megaset.
Fallen Navy SEAL and Titan Group's Delta recruit Trace Reeves wants nothing more than a one-night stand to forget that his twin brother was killed-in-action. But when his one-time fling becomes his high value target, the lines blur between her rescue mission and saving himself.

Short but engaging
The Delta Team is the ghost part of Titan, so the book fills in a few gaps.
This short story that tell the tale of love between two people who both need someone. Quite sweet in its own way. It can be read as a standalone but works well in the Titan Universe.

Another Hit
If you enjoy the Titan group books, you will love this spin-off series. The characters are very likeable, the action believable and the sexiness is well written. Basically everything Cristin Harber does best. Some familiar characters will show up and you'll meet some new ones too. Trace Reeves is a hot mess, drowning in guilt until he meets Marlena, a one night stand turned high-value target, can they both overcome their pasts and demons to move forward?
This is a novella, it's around three hours long and in that time Jeffrey Kafer immerses the listener in the world of Team Delta, so much so, that you can forget everything and just enjoy the story. He brings an excellent blend of suspense and emotion to the story. I'm not afraid to say I got a little choked up towards the end. It was a very smooth performance and each character has such a unique sound, that their was never any confusion over who was who. Another outstanding performance by Kafer.

Short, sweet and unexpected
Some spinoffs work and others don't. This one does, so far. I liked the characters they are new and different from the main Titan team. His torturous life and her deprived life clash unexpectedly, twice. And the rest as they say...well, not quite.
I liked the unexpected twisted betrayal and definitely liked the retribution. While the ending was expected the events that led to it were not.
The narration was just right too.
