Great start to the series
Having read/listened to most of the first arc of the Kutherian Gambit universe, I hadn't started on this series yet. Luckily it's coming out on audio now so I can get to it sooner :)
Phina is almost 18, her parents are dead and she lives with her aunt Faith (who seems to be rather strange and paranoid). She's been hacking into computers and getting up to all sorts of mischief. Until one day, she's called into see Admiral Reynolds - uh oh, she's in trouble..... however, it doesn't go as she thought it would. She's offered a place in the Diplomatic school where she will train as a diplomat and spy.
She gets paired with a mentor who has so many names, I can't remember his original name lol. This is when the action begins and boy does it begin.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and, although I wasn't fussed on the narrator at the beginning, by the end of the book, I loved her.
Definitely worth listening to, however, if you haven't read or listened to any books in the Kurtherian Gambit Universe, I suggest you start with Death Becomes Her and fall into the wonderful, seemingly never ending KGU :D
