Summary
Camila was 17 when Van Quiso kidnapped her. Ten years after her escape, the shackles refuse to release her. Not while there are still slave traders preying on her city.
She will stop at nothing to end them. Even if that means becoming a slave again.
Returning to chains is her worst fear - and only option. They won’t know who she is or what she intends to do. She’s prepared for every complication.
Except him. The one who decimated her 16-year-old heart.
Matias is charming, gorgeous, and dangerously seductive. He’s also untrustworthy and enshrouded in secrets. After years of no contact, he finds her - on her knees, wrists bound, in the clutches of her enemy.
Will he sabotage her mission by needlessly saving her?
Or will he keep her in chains and never let her go?
HEA with no cliffhanger.

My least favourite of the Deliver series
I really, truly disliked the story line of this book. And I liked every single one of the other 8 books. The usual plot line is a nasty, dominant, abusive captor, doing what they do! But Matthias, in Book 3, went beyond the pale in terms of behaviour! Although he had no reason to suspect his childhood sweetheart of lying or duplicity, he treated her terribly, keeping her in the dark the whole time, so that HE could know that she was willing to be content with only him. Even when he took her with him on a “mission” to attack a vicious child prostitution brothel, he didn’t tell her what was happening, I found myself at the end hoping she wouldn’t choose him.
Don’t pay anything to listen to this book, get it as part of a 3 book package.
