Summary

Rich Cody joined the U.S. Marshals to hunt down bad guys, not babysit witnesses. Orders are orders, though, and now he’s protecting a hacker with ties to the Albanian and Sicilian mobs. It’s just another exciting day in WITSEC.

Leotrim Nicolosi was born into a world of crime and bloodshed. When that bloodshed hits too close to home, taking down Leo’s boyfriend — the son of a notorious mob boss — Leo is determined to destroy the Grimaldi family. He’s got evidence that will send every last Grimaldi to prison, he’s got the family’s wealth in an electronic chokehold, and he’s got a vendetta that can only be settled with the blood of the man who killed his lover.

When a routine transfer to a safehouse goes horribly wrong, Rich and Leo narrowly escape with their lives. With the Marshals compromised and Leo being framed for murder, he and Rich are on the run from criminals and law enforcement alike. They have no one to trust except each other, and nowhere to go that their enemies can’t reach.

And the only way out might mean making a deal with the Devil.

Can't Wait for the Next One.

Loved this story - two strong willed men, seemingly on opposite sides of the law with nothing in common. As the plot unfolds and more is revealed about each man, first impressions are chipped away. The stakes are high, keep getting higher and look impossible to overcome, it kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat. The sex scenes were hot but few, the actions scenes well plotted and paced - not too long and not confusing but full of tension and drama only ever adding to the story.
Russo did an amazing performance for this story. The characterisation of each of the voices was spot on and unique to the character. It was like there was a different actor for each character. You could hear the tension, anguish, passion, humour, anger etc in the performance. It was a really genuine performance and brought the pages to life. I love it when the narrator performs the book, really puts emotions and feeling into it, rather than just reading it in a monotone deep voice with no inflections or weird inflections, like so many others do. I liked that it was also a single narrator, I've noticed duel narrators on some audios and it's really off putting having two different people reading it. I hope Cari Z and L.A. Witt use Russo for all their upcoming audios because they will be an auto buy for me.

Bang Bang !

Fantastic narration and well written MCs make this an exciting action thriller. There is gentle black humour at times, alot of shooting, and a well worth it HFN at the end. ENJOYABLE
