About this listen
Do you have what it takes?
Lucas was just your typical guy slowly approaching his 30s. Due to the budget cuts in his company, he had been laid off, losing his job as a project manager and team leader. Just a common occurrence, not like it bothered him.
But he certainly didn't expect to get scouted by another company soon after. Through the RPG game he was playing during a free afternoon? Even less.
In the span of a few hours, Lucas' perspective of the world was turned upside down. Things that shouldn't be possible were happening right in front of his eyes. Monsters were real. Dungeons were real. People on Earth were constantly in grave danger. His relatives were constantly in grave danger.
Pushed forth by that thought, he accepted the offer.
Now, as a fresh intern in a very mysterious company, Lucas has to risk his life to fend off the monsters that threaten his homeworld and his close ones while earning riches he couldn't have ever even dreamed of in the past.
But he won't be alone. His leadership talent will certainly come in handy when he picks his Class.

The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and making them individuals. They take on a life and continue to grow as the buids.
The only problem is the ending and I won't spoil it but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
5*****
A refreshing story

The world seems like it could be interesting. I'd be interested to see how the main character interacts with friends and family down the line and where the dungeon worlds lead.
Unfortunately, I think I'm unlikely to check for future updates in the series. There is something about the intimacy that makes it all so juvenile and I swear the MC mentally regressed throughout the book, feeling more like a teenager than a 30 something in-between jobs project manager that he is meant to be.
At this stage, I'd prefer to fade to black any intimacy as it is more cringe than hot. I've not brought myself to skip any as I can't bring myself to look away from each carcrash...
Fun world idea, shame the intimacy is juvenile
