About this listen

What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course. Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him. Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face.

Problem is, she knows he's dead. Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all. He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

Editor reviews

Pagan Moore is just having a regular day in her senior year of high school - chatting with her girlfriends at her locker, avoiding the undead "wandering souls" who have stalked her for years - when she encounters a strange boy with smoldering good looks. He is also dead and visible only to her, but unlike the other souls in her life, he can speak. In the first book of Abbi Glines's Existence trilogy, the young adult heroine finds herself torn between love and death. Ashley Litz performs the audiobook with the exaggerated dialogue and emotion befitting melodramatic teenagers - and paranormal romance.

My new favourite series

Any additional comments?

Pagan can see lost souls. She ignores them, they don't speak, all is good. Until one day an extremely sexy soul talks to her. Dank. Dank is no ordinary soul though, something that Pagan soon learns, and this is no ordinary love story. Gosh, how I love Dank. Love the writing. Love the story. Just. Love.

Gripping

I’ve read and re read this series, definitely gives twilight a run for its money. It’s so nice being able to listen to a story with such a good narrator. I would have loved a male voice for Dank though.

Best Twilight follow up so far

Being a huge Twilight fan I've read quite a few Twilight-esque books. None are as good. They simply can't be. Twilight was the first original. But most of Twilight still search for that next fix - I think Existence is the best Twilight-eque books I've read. I think most Twilight fans will enjoy it.

Amazing Narrator and Intriguing Storyline

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 0. I really enjoyed the unusual storyline to this paranormal romance. It wasn’t spicy, and this is something I like so personally I would have loved it if there was some spice! The storyline was intriguing, but I can’t believe how long it took for our FMC Pagan to know that the hell was going on. I’m intrigued as to where the series could be heading. There’s alot of allowance for some great “world building” in regard to the rules of the realm of souls. I listened to the audiobook and the narrater was fab too!
