Summary
Once a loyal son of the Emperor's Children, Fabius Bile now loathes those he once called brother. But when a former comrade requests his aid on a mission he cannot refuse, Bile is drawn once more into the sinister machinations of his former Legion.
Now, accompanied by new allies and old enemies alike, Fabius Bile must travel deep into the wilds of the Eastern Fringe, in search of a world unlike any other. A world which might hold the key to his very survival. A world called Solemnace....

Great story great character
The portrayal if Fabius is excellent, monstorous, humane, humours and remorseful. A wonderful tale that keeps the listener enthralled throughout.

Fabulous Fabius
I didn’t think I would enjoy this as much as did as I am not a fan of the third legion and their antics but this book changed my mind and I have immediately purchased Manflayer to hear the next tale of the Spider.
Superbly narrated as always by John Banks

Excellent, Enthralling and many other E-words !
Got into the whole 40k universe rather late by most standards, 2 or 3 years ago. This was the instigator, first of many, many more WARHAMMER books to come. After devouring every title of the Horus heresy novels, short stories included, followed by stand alone novels, prequels and sequels, plus a lot of fan-fiction, I still come back to the Fabius Bile books and as anti-hero's go, you won't find better than the Bile.
Josh Reynolds captured my imagination with this book and set me on my journey of discovery into the world of WARHAMMER 40k, for.in the grim dark of the future there is only war.

John French is an amazing voice actor
I relisten to this trilogy every once in a while, Fabius is such a compelling character and the stellar voice acting throughout just adds to it

Such amazing upturn compared to first one
Loved this one a lot more compared to first one the first isn’t bad just in some sense decent introduction to Fabius crew
But this gave intense and fascinating nuance to Fabius bile lore backstory and current character tone
As well quite funny side plots with betrayal and loyalty cause people bored and hate Fabius give great insight how the third legion function as an chaos faction and the relationship with each other
Equally loved the dialect and tone with an squad of doctors should communicate with intellect and knowledge which they did which didn’t get boring to me

He is Bile...in name and character...Awesome book
Story wise the book is amazing. The narrations are flawless as well. Makes you giggle when you think how his conversation with 41k Robute would look like. I'm am not a fan of chaos. Truly not. But I will always make an exception Fabius"Waste not" Bile :)
