About this listen
Bodies are piling up with grisly messages carved into their chests. Rival gangs are competing for control of Glasgow’s underworld, and it seems that Cooper, McCoy’s oldest gangster friend, is tangled up in it all.
Detective Harry McCoy’s first day back at work couldn’t have gone worse. New drugs have arrived in Glasgow, and they’ve brought a different kind of violence to the broken city. The law of the street is changing, and now demons from McCoy’s past are coming back to haunt him. But vengeance always carries a price. The waters of Glasgow corruption are creeping higher, and the city’s killer continues his dark mission. Can McCoy keep his head up for long enough to solve the case?

A must
This is my second Alan Parks book and I can’t believe I haven’t heard of home before. I love an ongoing story focused around a set of characters. Wonderfully narrated, raw and gritty, so easy to listen to, full of twists and turns. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series!

Great, a big step up
When I started reading January I wasn’t sure, but in the end it was pretty good. This is a step up, very rapid improvement and Parks seems much more sure of himself and his plot development is much better it’s as if he feels more confident and has got into his stride. I am definitely a fan now. I listened to the first ten hours last weekend and then saved the last two for today, it’s been an absolute pleasure. By the way, I am a publisher, so I do have a fairly good idea of what is good and what isn’t. For gritty
Scottish novels I am happy to say this is up with Irvine Welsh, I hope that is the compliment it is intended to be. Looking forward to March now!

Brutal
Great Story and very well performed. Violent and brutal but thought provoking too. Recommended without hesitation.
