It does get better give it a chance
When i first listened I wasn’t keen on the authors accent and thought this was really going to put me off listening to what could be. A good story however I persevered through the boredom of listening to his voice and about 15 chapters in and you do get use to the accent plus he’s pretty good at doing all the other voices of numerous characters and story starts to draw you in and the accent suddenly doesn’t bother you anymore . there’s no romance in this book so if that’s what you like to listen to it’s probably not for you but it is quite action packed and it is a complex storyline with depth it is told from different povs which is always a bonus.

Felt like it was going nowhere
After 2 hours I gave up. No character had really hooked me, the story seemed to be going in small circles and achieving nothing. It felt like it was all just plodding along aimlessly.
The narrator was OK, not great, not awful.
Maybe it would get better but I'm not willing to risk more of my time on a maybe.
