Summary

A personal story of learning to trust our heavenly Father when you feel your earthly father has let you down.

Blair Linne’s personal story of growing up without a father at home reflects the experiences of millions. She weaves her personal story with thoughtful theological reflection, inviting listeners to learn from God what "father" really means and to trust him, even if they feel their earthly father has let them down.

This audiobook will help listeners to shift their focus from what they do not have in their earthly fathers (who, whether present or absent, loving or the opposite, can never be perfect), to what they do have in their eternal Father, who will never disappoint, reject, or abandon them.

Listeners will hear how the gospel promises not just forgiveness, but also a place in God's family, experienced in a local church, where they can enjoy the fullness of his fatherly joy, care, wisdom, provision, protection, and security.

This title also includes a chapter by Blair’s husband, the Christian hip-hop artist Shai, on his own story of fatherlessness and faith.

Insightful and helpful

Packed with the relevant stats to prove there is indeed a problem, and truths to combat it with! Bought this book as I’m currently working through how I have been affected. Thank God that we all have access to Him as Father (and Healer) through Christ, no matter our biological stories.

Therapy in a book!!

I feel like this is the book which I have needed for so long! Praise God for Blair’s honesty and obedience in sharing her story and pointing us to our Heavenly Father and the hope we have in the gospel. Also lovely to hear it read by Blair herself 😊

Balm to The Father Wound

As someone who has a father who is/was present as a child but emotionally absent, this book really spoke into my wound. The truth of the Gospel, that this book so beautifully expounds is so precious. This truth changes lives and gives hope in situations that sorely need it. Keep loving your babies Shai & Blair and thank you for your honesty and rawness.
