About this listen
Brothers Harry and Jack leave Manchester for New York City for their annual weekend getaway. But upon arrival, they find a silent, deserted JFK, where the few ground crew they can spot have all been slaughtered.
Harry and Jack are military veterans, but they've never encountered anything like this.
As they witness the carnage and stumble across murderous madmen in a postapocalyptic New York City, it becomes clear that escape is the only option--that is if there is anywhere sane to which to escape....

A Little Gem
I've had this book in my library for a few years and I'd forgotten that I had it.
It's a great book not a zombie book but a little like 28 days later it is very well written and keeps you on edge of your seat
the whole time and I can't wait to read the second.

Good British romp warts and all.
Great character's with a couple of British brothers showing the way as the world takes a nasty turn due to a corporation hell bent on world domination and in the middle our brothers showing the Americans how it's done on their home soil. Couldn't stop listening to this book and its prequel and hope there's a follow up in the pipeline.

Not ground-breaking,....but enjoyable nonetheless
I have enjoyed listening to this a bit more than I thought I would !!
It's been in my Audible library for ages now, and I've always skipped it for other books of higher quality / or better known authors / titles !!!
BUT,......on a whim, I thought what the hell, and,.......
I have actually quite enjoyed it, its not a ground-breaking story or premise, but solid enough to be engaged in the storyline & want too continue on to the 2nd book !!!
Sadly I don't think as I have done in the past, it will / would be a book I will return to at a later date & listen to again !!!
The characters are simply put, & uncomplicated, easy to relate too. Which makes it easier for a shorter book, and you can just crack on with the story, without going into long characterizations & details which can make the start of some books tedious !!
The story is a bit of a different "Post Apocalyptic" one to the usual ones & x1 of the reasons I gave it a try !!! Although, having thought about it, there is actually a lack of real details on exactly what happened & why !?! Maybe more will come in the 2nd book,.....
Overall, its not ever going to be a "Bestseller" !!! But as it is a relatively short audio book, it has been good enough to pass a few hours & get some enjoyment from !!!
