About this listen
The sound of a bullet hitting flesh
Dr. Kay Scarpetta is in pursuit of a sniper who leaves no trace except copper fragments. The impossible shots cause instant death.
The target is closer than you think
The victims have nothing in common, and there is no indication where the killer will strike next.
You won’t hear it – you’re already dead
Scarpetta tracks the sniper across the country to the Florida coast. Here she uncovers shocking evidence implicating her niece, Lucy – Scarpetta’s very own flesh and blood.
For a while I really started to worry about Lucy lol .........I'll say no more in case of spoilers, can't wait for the next one.
Love the performance from the reader too she really brings the whole thing to life in a great way.......excellent!!!!!

If you could sum up Flesh and Blood in three words, what would they be?
Gripping, confusing, disappointing. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The most interesting aspect of the story was the mystery surrounding Lucy, however unless you had read the preceding novels this would be difficult to understand. What about Lorelei King’s performance did you like?
I love Lorelei King as a narrator, she really is one of the best. She gives each characters voice such distinct quirks its impossible to get the characters confused. She did a fantastic job of voicing this audiobook. If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
This is not a book to be turned into a film, it wouldn't sell sadly compared to Cromwell's other Scarpetta novels it is a bit of a let down.Any additional comments?
The ending still left the reader with many unanswered questions when the book finished my immediate reaction was 'is that it'? it felt half finished and i suspect this is a ploy by the author who knows she has a hooked readership to sell more books in the future.A bit disappointing
