Good if you've never read a book on personal branding or how to create a story. You'll probably get more value from reading Dorie Clark's Reinventing You or Entrepreneurial you or Story Brand by Donald Miller. This book is incredibly basic.

Super basic practical guide

The book felt very hard to relate to, at least for me. Too many of the examples were for geared towards unrealistic contexts vs founders at early stages of their journey (e.g. regular references to big marketing teams, which most early stage founders are unlikely to have). Felt like it was mostly geared towards highly tenured, big enterprise leaders

I promised myself before I started this book that I’d do my best to listen to it from a neutral perspective being a massive DG fan.

Well that lasted about two chapters and by the third I couldn’t help it. The man speaks nothing but facts and provides super simple, practical advice.

I read/listen to about 10 books a month and this is by far the best one I’ve completed. Highly recommended.

Dave, you’re my role model. See you at the top in 10 years!
