About this listen
Including the never-before-heard tape recordings of Lisa Marie Presley, this audiobook is movingly read by her daughter, Riley Keough, and multi award-winning actress Julia Roberts.
Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley tells her whole story for the first time in this raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir faithfully completed by her daughter, Riley Keough.
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-conceived memoir.
A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words; never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and grieved.
Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story: about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland; about the unconditional love she felt from her father, Elvis; about being upstairs, just the two of them. About getting dragged screaming out of the bathroom as she ran towards his body on the floor. About living in Los Angeles with her mother, getting sent to school after school, always kicked out, always in trouble. About her singular, lifelong relationship with Danny Keough, and about being married to Michael Jackson, and what they had in common. About motherhood. About deep addiction. About ever-present grief. Riley knew she had to fulfill her mother’s wish to reveal these memories, incandescent and painful, to the world.
To make her mother known.
This extraordinary book is composed of both Lisa Marie’s and Riley’s voices, a mother and daughter communicating across the chasm of life and death as they try to heal each other. Profoundly moving and deeply revealing, From Here to the Great Unknown is a book like no other – the last words of the only child of a true legend.

Brilliant
I loved this book, Riley Keogh and Julia Robert’s are just awesome, I loved the snippets of Lisa Marie actually speaking, I never realised Lisa Marie had such a hard time and I loved her for her attitude her determination and her truth, it has been so great to listen to this story yet so sad to think Lisa Marie is no longer with us.
What a wonderful, tragic enchanting view of the Kings daughter who didn’t for a moment think she was anything special at all just relished in her fathers love and so devastated to loose him.
Thank you for letting us into Lisa’s world, she was the image of her father, and in my view an absolute legend, Riley thank you for letting us into your family I have the upmost respect for you and wish you happiness for all eternity, I loved this book and will listen to it time and time again.
Lisa Marie you are beautiful, your beauty is so natural you will never be forgotten, Riley you are your mothers daughter I can feel the love you shared and it’s priceless, this book is brilliant listen to it for yourself, highly recommend.

Brilliant
I always really liked Lisa Marie but didn’t know too much about the things she had been through. It’s heartbreaking to be honest. I liked hearing her daughter on this too.

Intimate autobiography of Lisa Marie Presley.
Read by Riley Keough and Julia Roberts. Hearing her voice was a revelation. Hearing her thoughts about her dad Elvis Presley. How much they loved each other and how she was his world, he was hers.
How she didn't have a good relationship with her mother, Priscilla. I must say after listening to this book I really changed my view of Priscilla. What a narcissist and how she used her daughter to get money out of Elvis.
Hearing all about her life is sad, very sad. It is such a shame that Priscilla could not have been a more loving and caring mother.
Riley has done an amazing job for her mother, Lisa Marie I hope you are at peace. Gone far too soon.

Absolutely Tragic.
I loved this audiobook. Lisa Marie's story was told eith real compassion and it would break the hardest of hearts.
My ONLY complaint is that the S.A. she endured from her mothers boyfriend was not only censored but removed completely.
Why remove such an important part of her story?

Tragical
The mix of Juilia Roberts and Riley Keough speaking and Lisa Marie Presley's voice notes made this audiobook worth listening to.
