About this listen

The future must be rebuilt.

Victorious over an evil warlord, Jack Bowman will keep collecting women and weapons as he builds the first free city in a broken world.

The Free Oasis is growing, but not without drawing the attention of raiders who want the future for themselves. With three women and plenty of guns, Jack will find a secret facility where nuclear power waits for whoever is strong enough to take it.

The future is under attack, and Jack Bowman is the only man who can save it.

He must endure. He must succeed. He must rebuild.

a bit to much harem fantasy

i know its a post apocalyptic fantasy story but its a bit too ridiculously harem, every girl he meets joins the harem quickly with little effort / time and none of the other girls care at all. I think it takes from the overall story tbh

Fantastic!

I'm really enjoying this series. The main character is cool, the women have plenty of backbone, and the love scenes are well written. Cendese has become my favourite narrator. He reads the stories with such character and keeps me listening when I'm normally distracted.

good follow on!

I like to go to New places and meet new people and this was filled with solid individuals who with the narration have depth and the world is pretty easy to depict too. well written Nd narrated to get the situation fixed in the duration. I have to say although what I consider a light read in terms of world building this proves that with the right words and yarn spinner it doesn't have to be 20 hours to get the thing across.

a nice saga to infill between heavy reads. and now I am 40+ I feel this is my equivellant to the odd mills and boon in my mother's Day!

worth a listeb

this one's just like an action film from the 90's, it ticks a box and some.

A Trash listen with not many saving graces

Having listened to the first in the series it hasn't got any better, in fact I would say probably worse. The narrative although fast paced is somewhat confusing lacking depth and self obsessed. Deluding that the main character is the best thing since sliced bread. No real depth and am giving up on the series.
