Really good murder mystery with twists and turns to throw you off track with interesting back stories of the characters.

I enjoyed the story and the main character is very likable. The mystery holds you until the end and the characters are 3-dimensional. Sometimes I imagine the narrator has a lisp... 🤔

Thematic police plot, struggling female in a make orientated world and the ending was obvious from the Middle of the book. Easy listen, though.

Gave up halfway though. The story was so slow, the narrators voice just droned. She gave no convincing voice to the characters.

I stuck with this until the end but I felt it was far too slow in parts. Grace is a good character. The idea of this story is promising but overall it lacked suspense and action.

I’ve never read any of Isabelle’s books before, but I’m downloading the next one when I finish this review!
Narration absolutely superb. I love Melody Groves narration, one of my favourites.

it was a little slow to get going, but I'm glad I persevered. I saw the punch line early on and got a little frustrated by the background stories but I did get why we were taken that in the end. definitely recommend it.
