It isn't great either. You don't have to look to hard to see the gags coming a mile off. The twists and turns mildly meander through the plot to a predictable outcome.
Overall, the storyline had more potential than it achieved. The narration was flat and I really don't know if that was due to the material or the performer. So, my Performance and Story scores could be flipped. It is a bit of an oversell to call this a romp, but it is fair to say it doesn't lose it's pace and it keeps you hooked to its inevitable end.

It's not dreadful

I can’t even put this into a genre! It’s definitely science-fiction (and as an avid Star Trek geek I can relate), but it’s not quite... It’s almost in the vein of Groundhog Day but not as humorous.
However, it is entertaining, it is enjoyable, and it is innovative.

So if you don’t enjoy it it is because it’s in a league of its own. The narration is perfectly suited to the story (listen to the sample and judge for yourself). The dialogue is very smart/clever, the play with semantics is enjoyable. The premise of the story, whilst circular, resolves itself in a surprising way!

I’m guessing that this book is Marmite, you’ll either like it or loathe it. I thought that I was going to loathe it, but curiosity kept me listening. I’m glad that I did. A gentle (beach worthy) tale.

It’s not J. D. Robb’s ‘In Death’, but it’s a step up from the old ‘Lost In Space’. Definitely worth investigating.

If you want something by lighthearted and fun, then this is pretty good. The made up swears got to be a bit much and the format a bit repetitive but I liked the side characters a lot.

the story was okay. I found it hard to keep my attention in some places. Magic 2.0 was my benchmark though. if you haven't read that then you should!

I really liked this it is a great book. Sci Fi that’s not too serious and funny at times. Well worth the credit

This is a fun space crime adventure story with many laughs but the narrator is far too dry to really convey their authors work in my opinion

Like the story but not the narrator

Not a bad little story but I found it a bit short on detail in some parts but too much in others. It would be nice to know more about where the jumper came from and some family and general history, a bit more world building. Perhaps a little less repetition for the actual jobs. Read pretty well but some of the accents just come across as bored rather than interested and surly. I much prefer some of Scotts earlier work but I’m glad that he is expanding his horizons, keep up the good work!

The story is quite nice but the narrator sooooo doesn't fit to it. I have some 200+ audiobooks in my library and this is the first time I was really bothered by the choice of the narrator. It should have been someone funny, young and cool sounding like the main character.
