It was interesting at first, but the authors lost my attention after the ghost and paranormal chapters. in previous chapters, they seemed to leave the mysteries open, meaning, of course, they are mysteries. Therefore, there are numerous explanations that they leave up to the reader to what to believe. But in those chapters mentioned above, they decide to end each of them on the more mystical side, even almost going as far as admiring Rasputin's extraordinary powers, whom was, powers or no powers, a horrible man. Obviously, I don't believe in these kinds of things but still love to hear about mysteries and open to any suggestions until the author/s leaves it open-ended.
Or maybe I interpreted those chapters the wrong way.

An interesting book with a wide variety of subjects. Some are more in depth than others. All in all a good starting point into these topics.

I really am interested in the paranormal but this is just nonsense! no research at all. No references all speculation. fun as a collection of stories but completely ignores historical and psychical research

baseless speculation
